Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer

The hydraulics on a white 2-105 dont work.

The engin runs but all the hydraulics dont work.

Check if the pump is working,n if there is oil in the system

Having some sort of a fan issue going on...

my guess is you dont know the radiator fan rules.
its different on each of 3 engines
I have the 3.7L in same car, same year, but is WK yours is XK
the larger passenger compartment with bigger engine.
i have the FSM (SM) factory service manual.
so will post the words out of it , its free to read, posted 300+ time here. and no more posts, im going
chapter 7 covers both engine.
the 5.7 uses hydraulic fan (not electric motors but uses hydraluic motors, off ps pump)
so is the PS, assist ok and no noises from it.?

5.7L ENGINE The 5.7L hydraulic cooling fan is integral
to the fan shroud and is located between the radiator
and the engine.
The power steering pump supplies the hydraulic fluid
and pressure to rotate the cooling fan blade, while the
electrical part of the fan is controlled by the FCM.
The hydraulic fan drive (motor) consists of the three
major following components:
² Steering flow control valve
² Fan control valve
² Two stage G-rotor hydraulic drive
The hydraulic fan and drive is not serviceable. Therefore
any failure of the fan blade, hydraulic fan drive or
fan shroud requires replacement of the fan module
because the fan blade and hydraulic fan drive are
matched and balanced as a system and servicing
either separately would disrupt this balance.

The hydraulic radiator cooling fan is controlled by the FCM. A PWM (Pulse With Modulated) signal from the JTEC
controls the fan speed. There are four inputs to the FCM that determine what speed percentage of fan is required
by the vehicle. These inputs are:
² Engine Coolant Temperature
² Transmission Oil Temperature
² A/C System Pressure
By monitoring these three parameters, the FCM can determine if cooling airflow is required. If airflow is required, the
FCM will slowly ramp up (speed up) the fan speed until the parameter(s) are under control. Once the temperature

or pressure is reduced to within operating parameters the fan will ramp up, ramp down, or hold its speed to maintain
the temperature / pressure requirements.
NOTE: Even if the FCM is not requesting fan on operation the fan blade will usually spin between 100 and
500 RPM when the vehicle is at idle. This is due to a controlled minimum oil flow requirement through the
fan drive motor.

White smoke coming out of tail pipe and clutch goes to floor. What would cause this?

white smoke indicates[ steam ] that your burning coolant either by a blown headgasket ---intake gasket--cracked/warped head--cracked cylinder wall--check your coolant level should by low ----------clutch dont know type yr or model of vehicle so dont know if your clutch is hydraulic or dry older style spring --hydro style anything from slave gone bad to fork damage ---old style broken spring to fork damage throw out bearing damaged

Got a 8n tractor runs fine when idling not smoking and no noise could a hydraulic pump going bad make it sound like it's the engine

Does the engine give problems at higher RPM?

No hydraulics working yet everything was fine the night before

My thought also. Does the engine run but hydraulics not work? If engine has a starter, check the battery and battery connections.
Need more information in detail.

Cooling fan

no engine stated, nor which fan. (up to 4)
under what conditions, they dont run full time.
which ones? human cooling fan, (or engine)?
the 4.0L has 2, called the hybrid fan system.
one on the engine water pump end,. and one electric.

the behind engine radiator fan? electric ? or hydraulic.?
which engine?
did you scan it yet, OBD2 scan tool to see if there are power issues?
like DTC P1499?

did you read the FSM?
chapter 7 yet.
if the motor does fail, for fan did you do the fSm hot wire test?
page 7-47 (2 fuses checked)
same page, did you read the DTC statement on that page.
it says , the relays are monitors, and reported if bad.
page 27 to 32, (both engines, not stated)
as you read there, the 4.7L is totally different. (hydraulic fan drive called the G-rotor)

I have a 2002 suzuki vitara its hard to start when its warmed up sputter and backfires but runs fine when it starts

check if your car engine valves are hydraulic or adjustable ones. If are adjustable do the valve clearance as probably are tight. If are hydraulic and I believe is possible you do a long miles oil change as a result to cause the hydraulics not to work properly. You have to do an engine oil flush and renew oil and filter and try.

Makes a knocking noise when starts and then goes away.

if this engine has hydraulic valve lifters, then it could be a weak hydraulic lifter that pumps up once the oil warms up. Hopefully you dont have low oil pressure. Does the oil light stay on for a while after you start the engine. If it does that could cause your engine to knock

Yes if it hydraulically operated it could be because the pump for the fan is bad. If I am not mistaken the fan is run off of the power steering pump correct. check and make sure the pump is working correctly. I have not seen a hydraulic motor on a car I know they put them on a lot of diesel trucks like humvees and some Chevy diesels but not on a car. Most are usually electrical. I know on humvees with a hydraulic fan they have a fan controller check this and make sure it is working right you can unplug the controller and the fan should stay ingaged and turn faster.

Running rough like timing is out

check for leaks around the intake manifold, vacuum hoses and engine breather system. Look for loose wires, check the plug leads. Check the valve lifters for clearances, or faults if hydraulic you should hear them rattling while the engine is idling.Look at the disi cap,rotor and the cap itself for dirt, damp or carbon build up.
