I purchased my ASUS VE247H black 23.6" full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitoron 5/3/2013. it was working fine until July, it started blacking out and refusing to show an image, or suddenly losing the image constantly. I have a 2year service net replacement plan. What should I do. Order # 161973217

Should be screws on the back of the monitor. Remove those and pull it out. By doing this you are getting rid of the supporting structure for your screen. If that is what you are intending the get crazy.

I think you could have loaded the driver for a different model with 16:10 aspect ratio. Uninstall that driver.
Can you connect using the DVI port - get a DVI cable if your computer has a DVI port. If your computer has HDMI get a HDMI-DVI cable. DVI port will display max resolution - even without driver.
This is most likely the power inverter. It's a relatively small part but if it's not supplying power to the backlight, you won't see anything. It needs to be replaced.
The most common culprit to signal noise is poor quality or defective cables that may have cracks. I would check the HDMI cable. Do you have any other devices with an HDMI output like a PlayStation 3? If the image is fine using it, your HDMI ports on the TV are fine and so would the cable. It could be the BluRay player itself. Since this is a LCD TV that uses a backlight, your blacks aren't as black as you may want. The TV may allow you to drop the level of the backlight so check the onscreen menu for options.
