Question about Kenwood Audio Players & Recorders
The fluoresecent display (AM/FM/RDS, CD status, etc.) is no longer uniform in its intensity or colour. Part of it is bright and other parts of the display are dull or faded out. I can still see the characters, but not as they once appeared. Can the display be 'restored' to its original state. The unit works perfectly otherwise. I can't attribute this chnage to any particular cause (ie. a power surge, or similar event). One day it was fine, the next day the problem appeared. Help please. Thanks Michael

First thing to do is disconnect the unit from the mains supply for 15 mins to allow for a hardware reset, and then power it up and try again. If it does not come up, then the power supply has been damaged by a power surge associated with the outage. You may have no choice but to take the unit to an authorised HK repairer. Let me know how you get on with resetting the unit. Please take the time to rate this solution. Happy to talk to you more about it. Cheers
