Question about Hotpoint Dryers
I know bad idea, now the drum won't even move. What do I do to get the drum to move again. Hotpoint Large Capacity
If you oiled the belt, it may be slipping and can no longer grab the drum to make it rotate. It should be replaced. Also check the belt tensioner and other rollers as well as the main drive motor. The drive belt pulleys, drum, and other supports should be de-greased before you replace the belt so they don't accidentally get contaminated from any residual oil.
