Carbuetor promlems tractor sitting over winter with gas in tank. Battery was dead. Put charger on battery, now it spins but will not start. When I put choke on seems to flood out, gas drips out of air cleaner box.Could the float be sticking? Already put new sparkplugs in, when I tried to start it, stopped and checked plugs. They were wet with gas. Must I take the carbuetor off and clean it? need help.

Before removing carb a suggestion to check first, make sure distributor is supplying power to spark plugs and do inspect inside cap for moisture if there is no "fire"then that needs to be repared,"several things can cause this or if moisture is found clean distributor interior thouroghly and replace cap or it will happen again.if this is not answer try removing air filter for as long as possible along with plugs and let excess fuel evaporate before cranking anymore and add good fuel cleaner to fresh fuel and try again, old fuel can have condensation and not ignite. If you still find no change the problem may very well be carb and depending on how hard finding gaskets or replacement parts for it someone with experience may be needed for repair because carbs are difficult to do right without some knowledge.

its flooding. float dropped. then gas evaporated. new gas came in, float stuck in dropped position. that means gas in the cylinders and crank case. tow it to the barn

first get the float apart and make sure it still floats. reassemble with old gaskets if they survived. be sure there was a good needle in there above the float, and float drop measurement is not hangin clear down. theres a spec but its a shallow pot.

Why does my Fossil watch battery go dead after 3 months?

Some watches sit for several years before they are sold and if the battery is old or happens to be activated during that time your battery will be close to being shot when you buy it. I would put a new battery in it and see how long it lasts . I would bet that's what happened.

My Abacus Fossil AU4005 110504 wont charge any more, wen i put it on the charger nothing happen,it does not light up any more,do i need a new battery and where do i get it?

I had the same problem but easy fix.
first make sure you put the watch on charger for a few hours first-- the problem is not the battery not taking charge it is the watch that is not turning on probably.
After a few hours on the charger, remove the four screws on the back cover-- WARNING- remove cover carefully. there are two thin copper wires attached to the cover to the charing coil. set the cover aside. remove battery back (unplug tiny connector). WAIT a10 minutes-- this is to discharge any remaining charge that may be held by capacitor in the watch. plug the battery back in. Voila! working now. This is my way of resetting the watch to factory setting. Isn't it almost always work when you remove power to electronic device to reset it?

Garmin fr60 footpod

Read this BEFORE you buy a new Garmin footpod because of non-detection issues after replacing batttery.

My battery died and after changing it with a new one I've not been able to detect the footpod with my 910xt until now. I notice that in the cap or lid of the footpod where the battery sits before closing it sits a white piece with contacts for the battery. I had inadvertently taken this out when replacing the battery, which is fine BUT you have to put it back in a certain position. If you look very closely at the cap where the battery sits you will notice there are tiny grooves where the contacts should sit into. As soon as I line these up with the white contact piece, voila! Footpod was immediately detected. Try it if you are having issues after replacing a new battery.

Replaced watch battery on bulova millennia alarm and it skips to two second interval / I need to find out how to program it to 1 second interval

Watches, well most quartz anyway, are programmed to alert it's wearer to the fact that the battery in the watch is growing weak and needs to be replaced. There are watches that use a 2 second split and then there are those, like my Bucherer quartz that hops at 5 second intervals. Remember, just because you put a "new in the package" battery in your watch does not guarantee that it is new by way of battery power. Some batteries go completely dead while sitting on shelves waiting to be sold. For those of you that don't know, take it from a man of experience, never... ever... ever... store loose change and opened, new or used, coin or watch batteries in the same junk drawer. They will combine chemically to cook off the battery cells like a .22 rounds and pieces can fly pretty fast. Have a great day!

Take the battery to an auto parts store and have it tested, that would be the first step, just because you charged it doesn't mean it is charged.

Not charging . not nworking battery dead?

mcdevito75 here, If the battery is 2 years old, it could be un--able to accept a charge. Double check instalation into the charger, make sure charger itself is plugged into outlet. If so, visit a small watch repair shop in your area for battery change.

Watch going in reverse

There is no difference in watch batteries as they are produced by the certain standards. That means you have replaced the right battery.
The simplest solution would be re-replacing the battery. Just take the battery out and leave the watch without battery for 5 minutes, then put the battery back. Make sure the battery is fitted the right way (the + side usually facing up).
If this doesn;t help - let me know.
