Question about GE JKS05 Electric Single Oven
Well my mom forgot a plastic cap inside while the oven aws on, we did not realize until it had completely melted,we tried to use the self cleaning feature but the smoke was worst,we have not been able to bake anythig because smoke starts comming out like if its on fire and the oddor of burned plastic is just horrible, i dont know what to do, can some one tell me what can i do so that i can star baking again.
Use baking soda and vinegar to neutralize the odor and wipe all surfaces inside the unit to remove residue and smoke

On the oven's smooth surface you should use a razor blade and scrap off the plastic (when cooled).. if the plastic melted on the burner, you may need to replace that particular element from a local appliance part store. easy to do.
