sorry, its a C350. word and every other application works.

inkscape as well as gimp both fail to print in colour

  • vcl_455 Apr 20, 2009

I feel perhaps the issue has something to do with EPS postscript, I think perhaps if there was a troubleshooting procedure this might help.

I have done some further investigation. it will print if I include a gimp picture into a word document. It will also print using the Irfanview program. it will not print in colour using Inkscape. I found a Gimp-print list showing what printers are supported-there is NO reference to the bizhub C350/C360, in fact no mention of Konica-Minolta whatsoever!

If i am correct the bizhub 350 is for black and white only and not colored, unless you use a bizhub c350

My epson printer is printing the black from all the other colors, and ignoring the black ink cartridge

If you are printing "graphic" images ie photos, pdf's, fancy type-faces, lines or grayscale - your print is defined as colour and will be printed using colour shaded with black.

Selecting Grayscale and then Default isn't working. The printer reverts to auto colour after the first Grayscale print operation. How do I make Grayscale operate automatically each time please?

Setting default on the printer copier can be over written by the software. each document/letter/spread sheet etc has print properties associated with it. when you tell it to print without going to the properties area it will print like the last time you printed and override any settings on the actual hardware. Software always has the ability to override the hardware in any brand. If you live in Southeast Florida Advanced business computers is a great source for help. Black ink prints perfect on the test document, but on any other document prints very light purple. Heads are clean?

Please try to print your document with the option 'grayscale' and see if the black is better. If it is ok with this setting, the light purple colour is caused by a software translation of colour. You need to change the colour settings in you printerdriver, or when you send a document to your printer, change the settings of your software application. Picture is colour but I want to print it black and white.

Download the _free_ "Graphic Image Manipulation Program" from http://www.GIMP.org
and use it, as if it were the very-expensive Adobe Photoshop, to convert colour to grey-scale.

HOW TO PRINT ONLY BLACK ON PIXMA IP6600D ?

you can always get this setting done in your printing preference once your printer is correctly installed. In the printer preference, check the tab that talks about colour, there you will find an option that says " print in grayscale" or "use black catridge only" check this option and your printer will print only in black whenever u want.

Sharp AR-M237 Grayscale Copier Problem

Yes.There should be settings to enhance that in your print driver properties page.
Easiest way to access that is to open a document and click "file' then 'print and that will bring up your printer options.
Look around the print driver for ways to enhance your prints.
Most drivers have several options in graphics areas to make adjustments.
You can access printers from the controle panel and also right click the printer and select properties to access it.
There definatly are ways to adjust that.
Hope this helps you some.

Can I go to grayscale all the time?

Usually 'black' or greyscale uses all colours to get a true black in many printers. Check you particular printer manual and soft ware to see if it allows for black/grey only. You could experiment [I don't know this particular printer] by putting black carts in all slots [If it is a chipped cart you may have to consider swapping the chips on the carts if removable. Some specialist ink firms[Lycos] do supply monochrome sets for certain printers - check them out. Also take a look at www.fixyourownprinter.com

Colour problem with printer

After you scan it, do you immediately print it in an image format or do you use word? If you use word i might have a tip that might help.

Before printing, click File>print>click on "Properties" and check that the grayscale printing box isn't marked, if it is unmark it and it'll print in colour.

Also anything is that, when you're scanning. After previewing your scanned piece, double check the mode, either magazine (which is in colour), Black and white or outline (i think)

That's all i have for now.
