Question about HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

My printer says that I have the wrong black cartridge installed. It's a reman but I KNOW it's the proper number and application. Any suggestions?

Returning it was an obvious solution but I thought maybe someone else may have had this issue and resolved it without returning anything. Thanks however.

Return it after you make sure you've removed any protective clear shielding on the cartridge bottom contacts.........it'll be obvious..
Even though I know better, I've forgotten to remove that lil sticker off which is just there to keep the ink from leaking while it's not in the printer.

Printer will not print. New cartridges have been installed. Window showing the number 5 and the letter E. The printer is Canon MP210

E, 5 is a code that definitely indicates something wrong with the ink cartridges. Either improperly installed, not seated properly or wrong cartridge (not supported). One black and one color cartridge must be installed for the printer to function.

My printer is not printing. it will run the paper

I see you don't have much knowledge about printers. It always helps to know something about your printer. It seem you have a color printer. Usually a color printer has two cartridges. Black cartridge and color cartridge. The color cartridge usually contains three colors; cyan, yellow and magenta. If the black cartridge is empty, you won't see black text in the printed paper. Print a small photo and see. If it has all the colors, but looks dull (without proper black color), that means only the black cartridge is empty. If it is greenish, the magenta ink is missing. Generally orange colored printouts suggest cyan is missing. Likewise, purple color means the yellow ink is missing. If you installed the printer properly using the CD from the printer manufacturer, you will be notified when the cartridge is empty or close to run out of ink. But if Windows automatically installed your printer, then the system won't give such information. From the information you have supplied, I believe your blck cartridge is empty or missing. Oh, I almost forgot to say, some manufactures sell some printers (for example some Canon Pixma models) with only the color cartridge. Switch on the printer and open the printer cover. The cartridges will move to the middle. You can check whether the black cartridge is missing. Do not hesitate to contact us for further help.

Error code 59.40 on laser jet 4250

Do you mean an HP 4250. If memory serves me right that error number refers to the main drive or cartridge drive. You may have broken the gear on the cartridge while installing it. Especially if your the type to slam it in there. It can happen with genuine and remans so don't go bemoaning reman cartridges...lol. Turn it off...put another cartridge in there...and see if if boots up. I work on printers for a living and had( I'm 95% sure ) that same error code a couple of weeks ago and fixed it for the customer over the phone this same way.

Print cartridge will not install on HP LaserJet 3800n

common problem on the hp lj 3800, you'll notice if you shine a torch in the area where you found the broken pieces of plastic, there will be some more, it is this which is stopping the toner cartridge from sitting properly in the printer. Don't worry about the broken plastic the printer will still work ok.

Black ink cartridge ran out. i replaced it with an identical one and the printer keeps saying incorrect colour cartridge installed. the colour cartridge was already in and working

Either:
  • You have bought the wrong cartridge
  • The cartridge is not a genuine one and it is faulty(about 30% of some non branded carts are faulty)
  • The cartridge is a genuine one and is faulty (about 1% of genuine carts are faulty)
  • The cartridge cradle is faulty and can not read the cartridge chip properly.
i suggest you by another (genuine) cartridge and try it. If it works, you know the other "new" cartridge is faulty and can return if for a refund.

Lexmark X1150 printing problem

Try a "hard restart ", which simply means unplugging the power cord of the printer, and replugging it after one minute has passed. If that does not work, then rerun the CD used to install the printer. Both techniques reprogram the electronics, to a certain extent.
You might want to visit the Lexmark website to see what solutions are being offered for printer problems. They probably have a number to call, in case you want to talk to a technician.
Hope these suggestions help you out.

HP 2600 Printer Problems

If this is a reman cartridge or new. Take it back and get a different one. Their is a little chip on the cartridge that may have glue on it, been installed upside down or if it is a reman someone may have forgotten to replace the chip.
You might also want to check where this chip makes contact with the printer to make sure you do not have any tonner dust or have something obstructing the contact between the cartridge and the printer.

Printer Toolbox Not Recognizing New Black Ink

The Deskjet 6940 will only show ink level for original HP cartrdgies. Refilled or reman cartridges will show as empty or unknown in the toolbox. This is not an issue with the driver, the cartrdige itself has information that it has been previously used and this is not resettable. You can continue to print with a cartrdige that has unknown ink levels, you will just not get low ink warnings.
