Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have a HP desktop, about 3 years old. It was working fine until my sister jammed her finger on the 'power-on' switch. It will not turn on. The light on the back blinks green, and makes a clicking noise. I've checked the CMOS battery already with no help.

I had it working on hdmi cable but i don't have a tv here that supports hdmi so i am trying to use the regular 3 hole plugs and theres no picture comming up but the system powers up fine any ideas

You have to switch it to composite from HD mode. You can try starting your console in safe mode.

SAFE MODE:

1. Place you finger on the on/off sensor leave it their until you console turns off then take you finger off the sensor.

2. Place your finger back on the on/off sensor leave it their until you hear 2 consecutive beeps then take your finger off.

3. Once the safe mode screen comes on select the option PS3 SYSTEM RESTORE.

NOTE: A PS3 system restore will delete all data except the OS. I recommend backing up your console onto a USB flash drive if possible.

Good Luck!

Are there any releases for a paper jam in an HP psc 950? I have a paper jam that is under parts that do not appear to be moveable. I also cannot remove the paper tray--and my fingers can't fit inside to...

1) Power Off.
2) Disconnect USB cable and power cord
3) Clear the paper jam from the back of the unit by opening the rear access door. Turn the dial on the rear access door counter clockwise, and then pull the door toward you to remove it
4) Gently remove any paper from the rollers. Get all the pieces - any bits left inside will make it more likely to jam with future use
5) Reattach the rear access door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place
6) Reconnect the cables and power cord.

Try your print job again.
