http://www.repairclinic.com/0100_1.asp There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem
The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.
Samsung refrigerator RS2530bwp
Cause: Power outage
Symptoms:
- One LED light flashing on console (in the Power Freeze section)
- Not running (not cooling, but inside lights work, ice maker not working, ice crusher doesn't work, water wont dispense)
Solution:
Press and hold for at least 10 seconds
Ice type button + Filter Reset button
Console should light up.
This is not documented *anywhere* on the web (until now). Best of luck
I have a kitchenaid with the same problem. Red light blinks twice when open is normal. Hold the flap down and the red light will be on.= normal= optics are working. If the ice rakes rotate, module is probably fine. Check the simplest solutions first, defrost the freezer in case the icemaker water nozzel might be frozen. That solved my problem. I then increased my freezer temp by a couple of degrees and so far, no problems. Good luck.
Each mold tray has a heating element that is turned on to free the ice cubes from the mold tray and allow them to fall into the ice bucket when the tray is rotated into harvest position. Sounds like that is not being turned on... or is defective..
are the "fingers" of the icemaker pointed toward you and slightly up? if not the icemaker is internally broken . is the red light to the right blinking twice and then a one second pause? if not the emmitter is broken. is the black hose coming from the ceiling blocked with ice ? if so the water vave is broken allowing water to seep in hose and freeze. hope this helps.
im honing my psychic powers here, it a french door bottom freezer right?? Its built by samsung and the High Voltage board has failed. Had the same problem with one here
