Sounds like the cutter is jammed. Do you ever feed staples or clips in it? Will it reverse? If not, the power borad is burned out.

I called them and they were no help at all. They said, in short, "We don't have parts, we can't help you, buy a new Shredder! There warranty is 30 days with receipt.
I would buy yours for parts but it wouldn't be worth the shipping charges!
If you wanted to remove the micro switch and would send to me I'd be interested in purchasing it. My machine isn't that old, so I really don't want to purchase a new shredder. I got it from CostCo last year.

SOURCE: Aurora AS662C paper shredder

I had the same problem. I found that the shredder was not placed squarely on the basket. There is a small switch under the rim of the shredder (mine is on the back side) that gets depressed when the shredder is placed on the basket. If this switch is not depressed, the shredder will not work.
Make sure the shredder is fully seated on the basket.

Hope this helps!

Looking for troubleshooting manual for Aurora Paper Shredder AS1015CD.

There is a trouble shooting on their web site for Auror!

I was having the same problem with my shredder. I called customer service; I was informed it was the gears on the inside of my shredder. My shredder is no longer under warranty. However, she is mailing me out the part I need for a small fee. Their customer service number is 1-800-327-8508 in the USA and international only 1-310-793-5650. I do hope this help you!

Hi, my Aurora AS1002MSB is jammed and it will only go in reverse. Is there any way to fix it?

Hello,

Move the power switch to AUTO (l) position and depress the manual forward button for five seconds to clear paper blockage. Make sure the paper is engaging sensor located in the center of the shredder opening.

Good luck....

Our Aurora AS1712X paper shredder is jammed in a couple of places with paper so badly that we cannot free the jam and the tooth wheels cannot turn freely. Is there an easy way to clear the jam?

Try running the shredder in reverse and oiling the blades. More help with paper shredder oil here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Paper-Shredder-Oil

If you can't get the paper shredder up and running, it looks like you might have to pick up a new paper shredder. Paper shredders can be pretty cheap though, great guide to cheap paper shredders here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Best-Paper-Shredders

The shredder will not cut the paper. the motor

I just had this problem. I took the screws out from the bottom of the shredder and opened it up, take a look and see if there are any cracks around the frame that surrounds and holds the shredder in place, if so you have to glue the crack so the frame is stable again.(the crack/break in the frame prevents the paper from cutting because the teeth on the shredder are not fitted properly). hope this helps.

Shredder won't stop running

You probably need to clean out some debris from the shredder's sensor. The sensor is usually a small switch that is pushed into the "on" position when a piece of paper goes through. If there is some paper sticking this switch "on", then the shredder will not shut off. You can use a small needle nose pliers, or a tweezer to get the debris out. Make sure to unplug the unit before cleaning!

Hoep that helps, good luck!
