Hi. While watching tv very often the screen with go black. We still have sound. Sometimes all we have to do is turn the set off and the picture comes back right away. Other times it takes hours for the set to come back on. Do you know what the problem is and if so what we should do to fix it.
Is it possible that the tv can not take the constant pausing of programs. We have Bell Expressvu and use the feature often.

This is a sign that there is a problem in your high voltage section of your TV. The anode voltage might be dropping to a lower then normal level. This would cause this problem. I would suggest that you not try to repair this yourself becausee of the dangerous voltages that are present in the high voltage section of the TV set. You may have to take this set to a qualified electronics repair shop near you. I know this is not wha you want to hear, but the voltages involved can kill.
