Minkaaire cant get the glass shade off - Hampton Bay 04078 Avanti Ceiling Fan

The same thing happened to me, you put them on two tight. just right now i was going to take mine off so i could let u know which way to turn it. but can't take it off and i just put it on last night, & not too tight. i just remember that i have an xtra one, okay i got it it's counter clock wise. you're going to need someone to help you hold the light kit fitter assembly while you turn it. careful not to strip the light kit fitter assembly. mine rotates both ways now because when i tried to take it off it would turn so mabybe it's the other way, and nothing. then i got **** & started to used more force, back and fort, by myself even with the help of my friend it was a ***** to get it off. good luck. How do you remove the sun shade on the sunroof of a 1996 Audi A4?
The sunroof assembly has to be removed from the car before the shade can be removed.

Start with the sunroof glass, put the glass in tilt mode and remove the plastic covers hiding the bolts. Mark the bolts with white out so they go back where they were, remove the 6 T25 torx bolts. Push the glass out from the top and remove the glass. This should allow you to remove the shade.

Hampton Bay Torchiere with reading lamp(brushed nickel finish)
Did your fan come with some little round things with three silver metal pieces on them? With some of these fans, you have to hold the glass shades in place, then place one of these round things (sorry, I don't know what they're called) over the bulb holder inside, and screw them down until they're tight against the shade. Or you may have the kind of light kit where there are three screws on the end of the arms where the glass shades go. Just unscrew these a little bit more so your glass can fit, then retighten each one. This is what holds the glass shades in place. Good luck!
