Hello mtcrew:

>>According to the Sear Site, this Unit has a Briggs and Straton Model 42E707-2631-E1 Engine Powering it.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model (5 or 6 Digits) and Type Numbers (first 4 digits Only). Example: 42E707-2631. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Select Sectional Index. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View.
>>There is a Fuel Pump that is a Part of the Carburetor.
>>In the Breakdown of the Carburetor at the Site Addy I Provided the Fuel Pump Diaphragm is # 394A.
>>I Suggest you Lightly Presurize the Gas Tank and Force Gas to the Pump.
>>Sometimes the Pump has to be Primed before it will Start Pumping Properly.
>>Replace ALL the Spring Style Hose Clamps with the Screw Style Hose Clamps. The Spring Style Clamps Weaken and will Allow a Vacuum Leak to the Fuel Pump and the Pump will Not Operate Correctly.

TC55DA tractor. Why is there water in bowl and little or no fuel pumping from injector?

The system needs bleeding but in most tanks there is jelly from stale fuel which may have blocked the pipe, especially when the tank has run dry. Remove fuel filter, is there fuel freely flowing from the tank pipe? If not blow back through the pipe into the tank, is it flowing freely now? Replace the fuel fitler. All fuel tanks have a build up of water from condensation over time, it's harmless but of course will contaminate the fuel. I would always replace the filter once you've run out of fuel. Bleed the system, fuel filter, glass bowl if fitted, pump bleed screws then up to the injectors one by one. If there is an airlock earlier in the system, fuel will be held back. The fuel pump is the most important part to bleed. If it doesn't fire up right away, use a little easy start to get it running and this will pull the fuel through.

Stihl, FS81 trimmer won't start

Well I would go with fuel supply. But did you pull the hose off the carb inlet and see if fuel flows freely from it? You do have a filter screen inside the fuel tank on most makes and it can get plugged, if it is plugged blow compressed air back into the tank to clean it and then dump and flush the tank..

I have a 2001 Suzuki Maurader 250 - we bought it used and cannot get it to start - we have had it running but the next day it will not start. |We have changed the oil, plugs, cleaned the carb and now it...

Drain the carb with the gas valve on the tank turned off. Now turn the valve back on and see if gas again begins to flow out of the float bowl. If no gas drains with the valve open then remove the fuel line at the carb and check to see that fuel flows freely through the fuel line. If gas flows freely out of the fuel line then the float needle is stuck closed or trash is plugging up the needle jet assembly. If so, remove the float bowl and free up the needle. Use spray carb cleaner and the little "straw" that comes with the can to direct the spray into the float needle fitting. Fuel should flow when the float is down and stop flowing when the float is lifted. Pull a spark plug and ground the metal against the cylinder. Check for spark. If there is no spark then check the operation of the kill switch on the side stand and the handlebar. Use a multimeter to check the switches. Get fresh gas and install an in-line fuel filter to keep any trash out of the carb. Clean the air filter. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Ran out of gas, put gas in it, changed fuel filter and I can hear the fuel pump kick on, but it still won,t start.

Possible that there is an AIR LOCK and so you will need to bleed off the air within for the fuel to flow into the pump. So remove the fuel line and allow fuel to flow or blow into the fuel tank.( must **** out the fuel )
once the fuel comes over the pump will hold on.
Next time make sure that the tank does not run dry.

42 inch Craftsman carburator not getting any gas. You can spray quick start and will will fire. Does gas from tank gravity feed to filter?

gas tank gravity feeds fuel to the carb. if you pull the fuel line from the carb, fuel should flow out of the tube. if it does not, then either the vent hole on the gas cap is plugged or there are contaminents at the bottom of the gas tank preventing fuel from flowing into the fuel line.
