Question about Heating & Cooling
Hi, There are so many different types of units that it is really hard to answer this question. If you have the manual it may help. The filter can probably be removed without taking the face plate off. The filter may be all that needs cleaned. It usually slides up out of the face plate. Clean it with soap and water and replace it. The face plate its self may have some screws holding it on. Many of them just come off after removing the screws. Others pop off from the bottom first, some from the top. If this is a unit still being sold, You could go to the store and have someone there show you how to take it off. Home Depot usually have some helpful people that may just show you how a few of them come off. That may help you to understand more about what you need to do to get it off. You could ask a friend, relative or neighbor to give you a hand. Usually two minds work better than one on such maters. I hope I have helped you. kstfas
