I found the solution after pulling my hair out for 3 days. It really does work. As the instructions state as an alternate solution...press the code button until the red light stays on, release the code buttion (the red light stays on), push the TV button, then slowly press the on/off button ( up to 300 times) do it slowly, you will hit the right code and the TV will turn off then press the enter button. You are done! If you pust the on off button too fast it does not work. That was my problem for the first 3 days. do it slowly.

I just bought this remote, i have a sony tv. i have tried all the codes and the code searches and yet i have had no luck. i have read thru the directions and follow them step by step. i dont understand why its so hard to program, and why there is so many codes for a so called universal remote control. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the jumbo universal remote today. When I press "9" (TV use) then I go to channel 9. But which buttons should I press in order to go to channel 19? (or any 2 digit number)

Same remote, we got the tv programmed, but cannot get any of the codes for Directv receiver to work at all.

Help! I inadvertently pressed the "guide" button on the remote and now my tv is frozen on a menu I don't recognize. What can I do? I've tried unplugging the set, and reprogramming the remote nothing worked! My tv is a 5yr old Emerson.

I need help to program my t.v. I program my sharper image jumbo universal remote to my satilit direct t.v. but i can't get it to work on my philips/magnavox T.V. I hit code search light was steady on ,hit t.v. it blinked hit on/off for one hour nothing happened tried again one hour later T.V. went off hit enter then tried to turn on t.v. nothing what am I doing wrong?

hello i have read the romote setup in the box and on the internet i have used all the codes in the manual and online and still no responce i have a SYLVANIA AND NONE OF THE CODES WORK MY EMAIL IS DR.D373@YAHOO.COM IF YOU CAN HELP IT WOULD BE NICE THANKS

#12 - I read on another site that the code for a Comcast Motorola DVR Cable Receiver is 051. I can't confirm it yet since I'm not where the box is.

Patience is the best fix... yea, I was getting frustrated, got the dvd player and vcr right away, but my emerson tv was killing me, had it switch off a couple of times, but the channel/volume wouldn't work. finally went thru the push button 300 times directions, and when I hit the button sslloowwllyy (once every 2 or 3 seconds or so) I finally landed on the right code. (I guess I was going past the code when I was mashing the button 3 or 4 times a sec!) couldn't get it to work on my surround sound (pioneer) but it never claimed to do that!
It was a gag gift from my wife, (my fingers are large and lots of remotes have tiny buttons), but it is worth the $10 that I saw it for at the local stores... considering remotes can sell for upwards of $500, you get what you pay for!

Heres the EXACT sequence to follow. OK?

1)press and HOLD "code search" for at least 3 seconds (until the light lights up).

2)Press TV

3)press the 3-digit code and the light should turn off.

4)Test by pressing the Power button.

5)If it didn't work try the next 3-digit code until you find the code that works.

And here's the codes for Samsung:
004, 005, 009, 015, 104, 105, 106, 109, 172.

If it works please remember to change the rating from "unhelpful" to "solved"....

Did you follow my directions word for word? If so, did the light go on and off as listed in the steps above( step 1 and step 3)? Did you try ALL OF THE CODES?

Solution #16 worked for us. Mom has one of these crazy remotes and I opened the manual attached and followed the poster's instructions and it worked after the third code entry.

If you are looking for a code for your Comcast Motorola cable box so that you can use your Innovage Jumbo Universal Remote Control and you notice that there is no code for that box in the manufacturer's instructions, you should try all of the General Instrument codes. Some time back, Motorola purchased GI and the boxes are made by that group. To save you time, those codes are either 003, 049, 051, 053, 054, 058, 068, 069, 070, or 071. I hope that helps.

Someone posted the whole manual at above website--go to end of written paragraph and clik 'here'--you have to open and print 6 pictures--but they are clear and then you will have the whole manual and all the codes! (Innovage Jumbo Remote Manual)

Simplemitch ... Thank you so much for the link to the manual.for this thing. it's working fine for us now :) ... we picked one of these up as more of a joke really , being a gigantor remote and all ... it's like being 3 years old again ... now all we need is an oversized couch :P
