System Error E197

Its the Low Voltage Power Supply (LVPS) & its horrible to replace. There is no way I would recommend someone to do it themselves. I work on these unfortunately. If you've had it over a year it's no longer under warranty & I'm not sure where you'd go.

ronl, is the printer plugged in to an extension cord or power bar?

If so, try plugging it directly into the AC outlet on the wall, some shared power cords will interfere with the 81xx series power saving function

I tried reconnect the power cord to the outlet on the wall, still got the same error message, any other sugeestion?

I get that error sometimes, i called Canon they don't know any solution for that error code, i always fix it by turning off the machine and turn it back on, and it work just fine, but i keep getting it once every two week, its something has to do with the Voltage on the machine, it may not get enough power, or is getting more power.
