LCD Screen Goes Black

When I close my phone, after a few seconds it goes black and I have to open it to get it to come back on. It works fine but I was wondering if there is a way to get it to stop turning off so quickly?

After a few seconds the screen goes black

You need to restore the phone to the factory defaults. If this doesn't work, you'd have to bring your phone to someone that can update the phone's firmware.

your cellphone is fine. Its the strip which needs to be replaced.
actually the strip connects the LCD and the navigation keys.
U might have noticed sometimes your navigation keys also don't work.
get your strip replaced n your cellphone will be fine again.
slide up the phone and you will see 2 screws at the top.
get these screws removed and replace the strip and also do change these screws after the repairing.

Phone works for about a minute then goes black and dies

The keyboard cable is worn or broken, take it to a service center for replacement. The keyboard cable has a small magnetic switch that detects when the phone cover is open or closed. If the keyboard isn't working and the internal screen is blank, the phone detects that the cover was closed.
