Reset the remote set code to 2 and cant use remote

You must have its remote control to unlock this TV. Try to make your remote control get repaired, and check these.
Most RCA sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset is different depending on the model. Try each number until you find the one that works for you.

1. Hold down the MENU button on the remote and VOLUME DOWN button on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

2. Hold down the 0 (zero) button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

3. Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. 4- Hold down GO BACK button on the remote and MENU button on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds.
Hold down EJECT button on the front of the TV set and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.

You can unlock the FPA lock of your RCA TV. But, you must ahve its original remote control to perform the proceedings. if you haven't it original remote cntrol with you now, just try to buy a new one, of just borrow it from any of your friends or relatives who owns the same model Tv.

One amoung the above process will surely unlock your RCA TV. OK.

You will need to have the remote:
Press the VOL+ on the remote control and the CH+ button on the front of the TV.

The TV will prompt you to enter a new password.

Change the recording time to now and the duration to 1 minute. In about a minute the problem will have solved itself !

Insignia will tell you that you MUST have original remote to unlock. You press and hold Display button for 5 or 10 seconds. My problem is Best Buy tried to repair mine 3 times and one of those times replaced a board inside and original remote will note work and they will make no attempt to help me figure out what is inside. Mine has been locked for over a year. Locked by accident with universal remove.

1. Locate second power switch on back hidden below curve, left side if facing front of TV.
2. Turn TV on using this power switch while holding in MENU button on right side of TV.
3. This is reset the Lock feature!!

Take out the batteries from the Remote and wait for sometime. Replace the batteries an switch on again. It should work OR if there is a reset switch on your AC press it and start fresh again.

To delete the codes which have been entered in the remote unit press and hold down the SET key and then press the 0 key for more than 4 sec.If the LED will flash twice the codes saved in the remote is arwe deleted.
For rewiev the factory settings please remove and reinstall the battery.

I could not find the code, but here is a solution that should work. Please give me good rating

1. Manually switch on the TV set, and aim the remote control at the TV set, as shown in the figure:

2. Hold the "SET" key until the indicator light illuminates.

3. Repeat to press the "VOLUME +" key and see whether a volume symbol appears on the TV screen.

4. Upon appearance of the volume symbol, press the "SET" key immediately, and then the
indicator light goes out.Setting is finished.

5. Test whether the keys on the remote control function well; If keying does not work, reset from Step 2.

Sounds like you've accidently switched the remote to operate under remote code 2 - to switch it back to operate under remote code 1 you need to hold down the "Enter" button on the remote, and while doing that press the "1" key.
