Re: fuser or duplex problem

Yes, they are correct it is a fuser problem. If it is a pretty common printer and you are handy withs hand tools you may be able to fix it yourself. Google it or check on ebay for parts.

Re: fuser or duplex problem

Hi .. I'm afraid what you have damaged is the fuser unit. I know this because I may have done the same to my printer. It would appear that the glossy film melts on the photopaper and welds itself to the rollers in the fuser unit. I am currently trying to clean off the residue and hope there is not too much damage

Jam in duplex area

Its is trick..If its more then two pages print, printer grabs second page even first page in duplex unit., here its confusion. Check with simplex single print, see any paper mismatch error? or printer throwing paper in output bin after successful print?. No.. check fuser out sensor or paper out roller.
Print only two pages matter in duplex, check where paper struck? if paper our roller not grabbing paper back properly in time (slipping while grabbing back) gets jam error.
Always ensure that select proper paper size in printer.Other than this it may major issue, need technical knowledge..& possibilities are less to judge the exact problem..
Keep update us to resolve the issue.

Paper Jam in fuser on my CP2025. I have opened all drawers and doors and was able to find jam. but a small piece of the paper was torn and inside of the fuser assembly. Any way to open fuser assembly?

The steps to remove the fuser from the printer at quite lengthy and should be avoided if at all possible. Any way you can get to the paper as is? Also be careful when trying to get paper out of the fuser as it is easy to damage either the rubber pressure roller or the telfon coated hot roller. Sometimes small jams will come out if you can get the printer to print a page.

Appear duplex jam at display samsung ML-2150

Lubricate all gears and shafts inside the machine. There is an idle gear on the top back motor "where the paper comes out" the nylon it is made of shrinks causing the gear to seize on the shaft resulting in jamming. Super glue the fuser output rollers to their shaft. the rubbers on the output roller expand and slip when heated (usually after printing a large document) printing one page then resting/cooling down the problem doesnt occur. the idle roller on the duplex feeder also breaks off.

I have a 18 mo old 8500 OJPro wireless that won't advance the paper, makes a clicking sound and gives a false paper jam error. I have seen a split white gear within a black clutch assembly on the left end...

Follow these steps in the order presented to resolve the paper jam. Step one: Remove any loose paper Remove any loose sheets of paper from the input tray and the output tray. CAUTION: Do not remove jammed paper at this stage. Trying to clear jammed paper from the front of the product can damage the print mechanism. Your glossy paper is too smooth for the rubber rollers to grab it.
You need to wet the rubber rollers. Ever licked your finger in order to turn a page in a book? Same concept solution here.

Remove the paper tray. Take a look inside the space created where the tray was, and locate the rubber rollers. Lick your fingers, and use them to moisten the rubber rollers.

Reset printer and print again. Or try "un-smooth" the paper where the rollers grab it.

Paper keeps ripping on the side on normal one sided printing. Duoble sided printing paper just rips up and jams.

sounds like some tron parper was stuck inside and has contributed to more paper tearing. First check for any paper jams, and check inside for and broken or damages items, causing paper to tear.

Imagerunner 1023if printing on glossy paper

Hello boriquajake,
We are looking at inherent limitations of the copier. The reason the paper appears "glossy" is that it is coated with a type of plastic that does not like going Thru whats called the fuser. This fuser does what its name implies as it "fuses" the toner to the paper by way of extreme heat and pressure. Thru decades of trial and error copier manufactures have found a way to make carbon black and plastique( like the EURO NAME?) along with other confidential compounds into a mixture (called toner) that can survive the extreme heat (370' F and above) and pressure (the sky is the limit here) bond to the paper and successfully exit. However, the nifty glossy paper was designed for an inkjet printer which uses sprayed ink and neither heat or pressure. My final most helpful statement would be that glossy paper was never designed for a copier. And I can promise you that at some point the glossy paper will cause a paper jam in the fusing area that will be very expensive . Since the "gloss " is merely a plastic shine that was never meant to be "re-melted" by the rubber coated rollers......... need I say more. One day you will have a paper jam from hell that will destroy the fuser. I wish I had better news but if you think about it I just saved you a service call, and a significant bill. You are are the working guys/ gals like me that I like to help before you get screwed. Take care.

Paper jam 202 with no paper in printer

This jam is refering to back door, jam in fuser (hot bit) Double check no paper is wraped around fuser rollers.

These machines have a fuser at rear if you look at he fuser from the back, on it you will see, two thick fuser rollers (ones rubber), paper runs threw these then it hits a little black switch (your machine thinks this switch is activated) and then a series(3,4) of small rubber exit rollers, this switch (between middle and left) can get damaged it also likely that a piece of paper is concertinaed in fuser.

Also remove print cartridge and look behind it, if this machine has duplex unit installed you will need to lift it off that first to axcess all areas.

Check all doors are shut.
