Hey, the hardened glass lid on a GLEM GAS oven exploded because we didn't know we had to lift it up from the cokkers bnefore we turned the flame on. Derp. It's not our oven, obviously, and I'm desperate to get it fixed! We live i nNorway, and no one knows or sells GLEM GAS here, apparently. Does anyone know where to get the spare parts I need online or what they are called, even? I need the glass lid that goes up from the oven and I need the little doodads that keep it up from the cooker- part. The recievers of the lid.

SOURCE: I bought gas cook stove

There is a regulator behind the bottom drawer remove the drawer.look in the back you will see a silver box that the oven fuel rail is on just below the rail there is a brass fitting that needs to be turned clockwise till it stops it can be hard to turn some times but turn it till there is no clearance between the nut part of the valve and the silver box then you can start your oven and it should work fine you can also adjust it to get a little more flame if needed.

I tried to use the oven part of the glem gas, the igniter fires it up but it turns off as soon as I remove pushing the knob

can you smell any gas when the knob is set ?
before you ignite

in none or only a small smell of gas
can only think the gas valve faulty on that knob or the
gas pressure to the burner is lower than it needs to be

this is an example its a glen gas double oven

Pls answer why my cokker burning yellow?

a coloured flame indicates an incorrect air gas mixture
it can possible be from low gas pressure ( jet partially blocked )or the air shroud around the jet is out of adjustment
when dealing with gas --for safety sake --it is best to get a gas fitter in to fix the problem

Grill will only heat up to about 400

Generally, there are 2 things that can cause the problem.

1. The grill thermometer is no longer accurate. To test this, purchase an regular Oven Thermometer for about $6.00, that would normally set on the oven shelf. In this case, it's going to set on the grill grates, when you preheat the grill with the lid/hood closed. Allow it to preheat on High for 15 - 20 minutes. Look at the grill thermometer and then compare it to the oven thermometer. I'll bet, the oven thermometer will be significantly higher, if the grill thermometer is faulty.

2. If you recently turned the gas tank's valve OFF and then turned it back ON later. the grill's gas regulator is partially closed. And the burner flames are not as high as they should be. To solve this problem do the following.

A. Turn the tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.
B. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.
C. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once the vale is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to HIGH. Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners the same way. Now, do all the flame heights look correct for being on HIGH. If so, you solved the problem.

If the above didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. You can pick one up from any home center or hardware store that sells grills and accessories for about $30.00. Be sure to take your old one with you for comparison purposes.

I hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

My weber grill silver will not get hot over the test heat

Since I was not familiar with the term you used "will not get over the test heat." I took a look at the Owner's Manual for you model grill. The only reference I could find to temperature was in the section about preheating the grill to 550 degrees F. That being the case, I guess that's what you may have been referring too.

To solve this problem do the following, as I believe falme heights on the Highest settings are not what they should be.

First, check the gas line hose from the tank to the grill. Look for kinks or twisting that would restrict the flow of gas to the burners. If you find any, turn the gas tank valve OFF, disconnect the hose from the tank and straighten the hose, before reconnecting it to the tank. Then open the gas valve Very, Very Slowly, until it's fully open.

If you didn't find any kins ot twist, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF, Disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes.
2. Turn on any pair of burners to High for io minute and then turn them OFF.
3. After 5 minutes has elapsed, reconnect the hose to the tank.
4. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY, SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow) until it's fully open.
5. Light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to HIGH. Does the flame height look
correct? If so, light the remaining burners the same way. Do all the flame heights look correct?
If so, you solved the problem!
6, Close the grill lid and allow 10 - 15 minutes for the grill to preheat to your desired temperature.

If the above didn't solve the problem. The problem, may in fact be a faulty Thermometer. To test it, invest $5.00 in an Oven Thermometer, like you use in a regular oven, that will sit on the oven rack. But, in this case will sit on the cooking grates.

Set the thermometer on the cooking grates, light all the burners, close the lid an allow the grill to preheat for 10 minutes. Then read the temp on the grill thermometer, open the lid an compare it to the Oven thermometer on the grill grates. I'm willing to bet, the oven thermometer will read higher. That's because, it's right down on the cooking grates and not reading the air temperature, like the grill thermometer is. That's why, I all ways use an oven thermometer on my own grill. It's more accurate.

Hope this helped you solve the problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling.

I have a Glem Gas Modena oven.2 of the burners do not ignite at all and another one has very small ignition. I don't know where the problem is as I am a newbie to troubleshooting ovens. Thanks for your...

Hi, just seen this, might be able to help if not sorted.

Do the burners ignite without using the ignition ie by match?

If not its probably the jets which are blocked.

If you need to know how to clear these let me know
