Question about Washing Machines
My washng machine goes through its cycle until half way through K. It doesn't attempt to rinse and spin or finish the programme off, ie 1,2, 3 and 4. It doesn't use the fabric conditioner and the water stays in the machine drum even after trying to move the programme on a bit. I have checked for blockages and all is ok, water is going through hot and cold pipes. The belt is fine too. Please help me.
Hi Andy, its not a cure for the conditioner drawer but it is not as bad as it was. I gave the roof of the drawer slot a good clean with a long brush and some hot water. I used my greenhouse sprayer as it has a longish lance and it could get into hard to reach spots. Give it a go, nothing to lose. Let me know.

That's a timer problem. Check on the user's manual on how to reset the timer settings. The timer can be replace if found defective but you need a pro technician to do it.

try taking the soap dispenser draw out a give it a thorough clean inside and on the underneath of the drawer, then clean inside the machine where the drawer fits into. Sometimes a build up of detergent/softener can cause this.
I hope this helps

Check the lid switch. Through out time the lid switch housing can come apart from years of heat and cold. When I checked mine, I found the glue deterriated and the housing came apart. What I did to fix it is I zipped tied the housing together and did a functional check and it worked.

Sometimes the drawer gets blocked with congealed fabric conditioner and or old soap powder, try removing the drawer and giving it a good wash. An old toothbrush is useful to get in the small areas. To remove the drawer: Pull the drawer out as far as possible, there is a small depression on the left hand side at the top of the drawer, about the size of a fingertip press the depression to release the drawer, and pull the drawer out. To relocate, line the drawer up, and place the long thin piece of plastic on the left hand side in the corresponding slot in the top of the drawer opening, you might have to kneel down to see it and slide the drawer in, you might have to press the depression again to pushe it home.
