2005 F250 Battery lite would come on until warmed up, for approx 1 month batteries hold charge under a load. Had to jump start twice and while driving the Dash cluster went wild, IE ~ ABS Lite, A Wrench Lite, Ck Engine Lite, Battery Lite, and Engine began to Surge. I disconnected and load tested both batteries and they still hold a load. When connected back up the dash lights began clicking on and off Quickly. And still no start. I cleaned all the terminals and clamps. And I have tried using the Batteries independent of each other with the same result. I do not know if the CCA is the cause as I have no way to check that. The Battery are both relatively new est under 2 yrs I dont believe it to be an Alt issue as the lights do not dim under a load please help with a new direction if you have one.

Your problem is electrical, check all your grounds and make sure they are clean and grounded well, check your alternator out to see what its charging under a load, and that the regulator is working properly. Check the main wire from the starter to the alternator and make sure it is clean and tight, and that all is grounded, clear codes and try again

First i would check the alternator just to be on the safe side sounds just like the problem or the brain or body control module went haywire on and sometimes a battery will show that is good untill you actually use it might get a good diagnose from a local shop - dealer etc.

you have a voltage drop.fine the damaged wire going fro mthe positive terminal of your battery to your alternator.fix this or it will keep working the alternator and draining your battery.

SOURCE: 2003 Ford Focus battery light is on, but alternator appears good

Disconnect battery ground for 30 seconds & reconnect. Light should be out unless you have deeper diagnostic problem. Charging system good Battery good. This action should reset trouble light. Good luck!

SOURCE: 95 F250 not starting

You said you tightened the battery cables, did you check the other end of the negative where it bolts to the engine. When you tightened the cables you also used a battery brush and cleaned the posts and ends?

The car was running fine one day then the next day it would not start. We tried jumping it thinking the battery might be dead and it still would niot start. The car has power until we take the jumper...

Sounds like you have a toasted battery or alternator. Have you performed a load test on the battery? Have you tried to charge the battery? First remove the battery and charge it externally from the vehicle. If the battery won't hold a charge, or won't hold a charge of 12 volts, replace it. Once you have the vehicle started, test the operation of the alternator. It should be putting out at least 13 volts back to the battery to keep it charged - if it is putting less than 13 volts or more than 16 volts, replace the alternator.

I HAVE TO JUMP MY 2005 PONTAIC EVERY MORNING, I'VE HAD THE BATTERY A COUPLE MONTHS & IT CHECK OUT OK, WHAT COULD IT BE???

could be the battery or something draining power from the battery,
when you get home, disconnect the negative battery terminal from the battery, leave it over night in the morning connect it and try to start, if you do not start it means that your battery (although new) has a bad cell thats causing the charge to drain, take it back for warranty. Dont worry about the load test done to check the battery it'f based on the battery's current charge rate not after its left overnight.
If you did start it means something is draining power from the battery, could be,
1.) lights remain on check (hood light, door lights trunk lights) 2.) device remaining on , check radio, ac etc 3.) the cars CPU is draining too much power.
an easy way to check which one is to remove the fuses from the fuse box under the hood for each particular component to turn them off. or you can take the car to a gurage and have them go through all the harnesses for a short.

I have a Scion tc 2005....engine did not start once about 5 months ago...I was waiting 10 minutes and started w/o any other problems until today when it happened again, but this time did not start after...

first if they did check, it was after you had driven there allowing the alternator to put a charge back into the battery, you need to have the battery tested before you had it jumped, this would have told them that it is bad, most car battery only last for 3 years, even if you had a die hard from sears, another way to test it is to have a cell test they will put a load box on the battery and it will tell them what cell is going bad

I replaced the battery 3 weeks ago and everything has been fine. My wife drove around everywhere on Friday. She did not drive the van yesterday. It is now Sunday night. My wife went out ot start her van...

Your alternator is going bad. It should only put out 13-14 volts and therefore is overcharging your battery. This causes your battery to get a dead cell. If you replace the alternator and battery, make sure you check the cables for any shorts.
