SOURCE: True Refrigeration GDM-26 Compressor problem?

More than likely you need a new compressor. It sounds like it's trying to start and then trips on it's overload or capacitor may be out.

SOURCE: GDM-26 humidity very high

assuming fridge is at correct temp, i suspect fault is with your humidity detector. the humidity inside a fridge is a lot less than the outside air

SOURCE: Replacing a temp control valve on a true GDM 26 commercial refridgerator

Unplug the unit & remove the plate holding the thermostat. The capillary for the thermostat will go into a very small tube that runs into the evaporator coil. You will probably not be able to see the tube but will have to feel for it and get a good orientation for where it is located before you pull the capillary out. Try to measure the amount of capillary in the tube as you pull it out so you know how far you have to push the new one in and put some kind of tape or mark on the new capillary before you try to push it in. you might have to soap up the capillary to get it to slide easier.

SOURCE: We have a GDM-26 commerical coke machine. Only

If any of your drinks are freezing you need to adjust your temp setting. The suggested setting is 5. changing the temp setting basically tells the refrigerator to stop cooling when the temp hits a low degree, and to start cooling when it hits a high degree. This keeps your drinks not to hot, not too cold, but just right. If this doesn't work I would change the cold control altogether, it might've went bad. If you have a few minutes, locate the condensor fan (bottom) and make sure it is periodically turning on and off like it should.

I have a True GDM-26, that I determined had a bad temp control. I ordered a new control from a company the referenced the part number by unit model number. I did not take the original control to match. ...

the temperature control you need is a part# 800386. the one you got(800393) is a temperature control for a 230 volt cooler not 115 volt. it is a 230 volt control
