Get under your truck and look in between your cab and the pickup bed. Look up towards the back of the cab and you should find some rubber gromets. On the Ford Superduty and Chevy HD series, they have them on the drivers side back of the cab. Once you locate it...your gonna have to take the seat out, and the rear interior panel and locate exactly where the gromet will have you run the coax. Once you do, pop the gromet out and cut an X in it with a razor knife and pull the coax through it, and then to the antenna. I pulled it snug, but not tight, then I put just a little RTV silicon on the outter side of the gromet to assure no water can get into the cab. I ran the coax around the outter edge of the truck under the carpet and along the door sill (had to take that out too). Then up under the dash, and to the radio....entire installation literally took about an hour. Every full size pickup truck has some access from in cab exiting to the rear towards the bed for many different utility purposes such as: sander/salt spreader wires, generator/compressor, aux lighting, wrecker applications, strobe light bars, and etc... So if you really are having a hard time locating that rubber gromet, just simply call your local truck accessory store, and I'm sure they can tell you where it is on your particular truck...hope that helped!! Either find an unused grommet, double up on an existing one or drill a hole and use a grommet. You have to be really careful because if you drill a hole, you could ruin something!

Where is the fuse for the a/c clutch

The owner's manual for the truck will have it. If you don't know where that is, look online. If you wait longenough, it will be cool enough to get by without it.

Drilling wood on a craftsman 10" drill press

There are several possibilities. I am assuming that by "hang up" you mean that the motor still runs, but the arbor, chuck, and bit all stall. I also assume that you are running the bit up and down to clear out the wood shavings from the bit out of the hole, you are using the correct amount of downward force, and that the bit is sharp. I would first check to see that there is proper tension on the drive belt. You can add a belt spray designed to increase friction for better running. I would also gear down the drill press even more to increase torque (I know you say you are running at the correct speed, but try a reduced speed). Another method is to use an auger bit or a forstner bit without pilot holes. If you are using a spade bit, you might try no pilot hole, and drill at a faster speed. I have a junk 10" drill press and have no trouble drilling 1" holes in oak.

How to fix a stripped oil pan

The easiest way is to find a larger diameter plug and re-tap the hole to fit it. This will require drilling out the hole to the correct tapping diameter and use a tap that matches the new plug to re-tap the hole. Or if you have or know someone with thread inserts that match your original plug, you could drill and re-tap the hole for the thread insert.

What is the make of your wagon? Regardless you shouldn't be drilling holes anywhere. Check your rear window seal, tailgate or lift gate seals.

The key to my 05 Lacross does not have metal in the key ring hole and the plastic broke. How do I repair? can I drill a new hole without damaging the chip?

Hi, the only part that dont have the circuit under neath is the part that has broken off the only chance you might have of finding somewhere to drill through is if you take the key apart and have a look on the inside and see if their is a small gap you can drill through.

if you just drill through without taking the case off you will never know whats under neath, now with the case off you may find a small part near the back of the key next to the part that broke off but it will only be a small area, so if you take the case off and drill a hole you will probably need one of those straps that go through a mobile phone, you know the string type that you feed through the hole on a mobile well you may be able to drill a small hole big enough to put this string through, but you wont be able to drill a hole big enough to put the metal ring through on its own.

if you can get the case off without damaging it then have a look at the back part near to the part that broke and you should find a small area to drill through, please dont drill anything without taking the key fab apart as you will drill through the circuit, its not worth guessing as damaging this could mean your car wont start.

failing that replacing the key is the only option

take the case off and have a look first just take your time and try not to break anything inside the key, if you have messed about fixing things before then you should be able to take the case off the key.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

I have a 03 f 250 superduty v 10 i would like to know how to know where to drill hole in roof and how to run coax wire to cb

all vehicles normally have spot at the dome lights. to put cb/ham/commercial antennas. but some ford trucks have a center rib on the roof which sometimes would have to off-center an antenna. on newer trucks. I would use the ham NMO mount that has the 3/8" hole (not3/4") and use a wilson 1000-5000. or tram base load antenna.. depending on power wattage needed. we normally carry the 3/8" mounts they have coax and pl259 connector on them. look us up. lowest prices guaranteed.
