You might try using a hair blower to soften the plastic, but don't burn it

The air hose is not working

Buy a small electric pump from Walmart or Canadian Tire. Then you won't be tied to using gas station air hoses.

How do I replace air hose?

I'm pretty sure that the air nozzle is just a friction fit onto the air pump cap. You should be able to simply wiggle the old one back and forth while pulling away from the arm of the machine. I see nothing on mine nor on the exploded view that would indicate any other connection.

How do I connect new air hose?

Pretty sure it's just a friction fit. Wiggle the old one back and forth and it should pop off the air chamber cover.

Air hose came off my 788 scroll saw how do i put it back on

The air nozzle/hose for your saw is a series of peices, about 15 or so, each a cone on one end and a ball on the other. They snap together like Legos to make the nozzle flexible and long enough to reach the cutting table. The first peice is made to adapt to the air pump and the last tapers down to a small opening to help increase the air pressure and direct it towards the cutting area. If you're missing either the first or last peice, a new air nozzle is available from Dewalt and several after market parts sites, the part number is 286311-00.

How to install air hose on dw780 scroll saw

To get the plastic hose in:
Hammer in one or two of the plastic joints from the plastic hose with a rubber mallet to build the foundation to the metal connector.
Once you get the plastic foundation joints into the Dewalt Scroll Saw. It's easy to add rest of the plastic hose in.
