Question about Char-Broil Terrace 463243804 Grill
I have a char-broil grill model 463243804. I am trying to follow their directions for cleaning the burner assembly: it says: "remove cotter pins from beneath each burner "foot" using a screwdriver or needle nose pliers." I can't find any such cotter pin, nor does it seem possible to life the burners up. Any thoughts?
I found this pin. It's on the bottom of the burner on the back end. You have to slide your hand under the burner between it and the flang of the bottom of the grill. It's a messy and difficult thing to remove. Somehow I was able to wiggle and pull it out with my fingers, assisted by a screwdriver and needle-nose pliers. It was a huge pain the a$$ but I was able to get the three burners free and get a coat hanger in there to clean them.
Because of the bottom of the grill there was no clear visible access to these pins. You have to operate blind with just your fingers and the tools. Good Luck!
