Acer Process 4/12 eRecovery Management indicates that the recovery process never finished - you will have to run it all over again.
As for MS Office , it came as a one month trial in your laptop - if you had it for more than that then you bought it. In that case the activation key must still be in your possession, just insert it when asked. In the absolute worst case (the reinstall never finishes, no matter what you try) you will have to get a separate recovery disk from https://secure.tx.acer.com/RCDB/Main.aspx?brand=acer and use it to reinstall. Silverlight is an separate program that can be downloaded at any time by you from http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default.aspx
The program should have come with an activation code inside the box. Usually you can find the code either on the installation disk, or on the manual. If you are unable to find one then you will have to contact Autodesk support. Once you provide them with proof of purchase they should be able to provide you with the correct activation code.
You can create a set to Recovery disk from the recovery partition, to do so Click
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Click Create Factory Default Disk, if you
receive any error code or unable to burn the disk, please contact Acer Technical support at 1 800 816 2237 and order for an Recovery Disk.
you might have got a virus run your antivirus if that does not find anything open outbox scroll to bottom toolbar right click select task manager and see what is running or you might have to uninstall then reinstall the email program or you might try to run the check disk utility click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive hope this helps
You should have received the activation code when you purchased the download....if you didn't purchase the download, then go online to www.symantec.com to purchase/activate your program. Print your receipt with the activation code on it...or you should have received an email from Norton (Symantec) with your activation code. If the program you downloaded was a trial version, then you will need to purchase it in order to get your activation code......
While I am trying to scan the images, I am getting the error Code[ffff:0024] & I am unable to scan anything from Epson 1500 model. While I switch on the scanner, it sounds lot from the scanner for continuous 2 minutes. I couldn't get scanned anything ... please give me the solution.
Hi j0shuatsb, Acer like many other manufactures seem to design their system to fail or have issues just after their 1 year warranty is up. Like other Microsoft windows operating systems, when you receive an error message that you're memory is full. This does not mean you have run out of RAM = memory. You're notebook can only run a max of 4GB of memory. The error message refers to hard disk drive space. Depending on you're operating system, windows will lock out so much drive space so it can move about. All notebooks also have a hidden partition which holds drivers & programs used in combination for running the system restore. This hidden partition can range in size from 2GB up to 4GB. This also lessens you're total hard disk drive space. Bottom line is there is nothing wrong with your memory. What you need is a larger hard disk drive. Notice the Technical specifications from this link: http://www.acer.co.uk/public/page9.do?sp=page4&dau34.oid=24360&UserCtxParam=0&GroupCtxParam=0&dctx1=17&CountryISOCtxParam=UK&LanguageISOCtxParam=en&ctx3=-1&ctx4=United+Kingdom&crc=512458878 It does not show what size you're SATA hard disk drive is. Since you are still in warranty, now would be the time to increase you're drive size. On another note, if you're HDD is the standard 160GB than there is an issue with your current HDD. Please run a full system virus scan. Suggest you back up all you're personal data on to a DVD & run you're system restore CD including a format to help you regain you're HDD full space. A temporary fix would be to uninstall any non needed programs through Add/Remove programs. This should free up some space. Many Acer programs you do not use at all or need should be the first to go.
Perform a system recovery: Does not come with recovery cd's - there is a program that allows you to burn the disks or
1. If in Windows - Start - Programs - Acer empowering technology - Acer E-recovery management -
click on Restore at bottom then "Restore to factory default settings"
2. Or click on Burn disks instead of restore
3. if unable to ge into Windows then Alt/F10 during boot right after Acer splash screen on startup End User Technical Support and Service (USA only) For end user technical support, spare parts and service: 1.800.816.2237
