Question about Kitchen Ranges

Low flame on burners

My Brinkman grill is only getting a little flame out of the burners. It only heats up a little on 2/3 burners and the 3rd isn't working at all. It's a new propane can and connected properly.

Check the following items:

The propane regulator - and make sure the valve on the propane cylinder is all the way open
The fuel jets (the holes at the end where the propane comes out, usually brass)
The manifolds - they can become obstructed with insect nests
The gas burner valves
The burners themselves, again for obstructions

I have a brinkmann 3 burner grill, the middle burner flames, but the outside ones do not, i just bought it today. How do I light the outside burners?

I am not sure, but I think the Brinkman uses the ignitor to light one burner and the other burners light after the first one allowing the flame to "crossover".

Brinkman grill 3 burner pro series 8300 won't

To restore gas to the burners, follow the instructions below.

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling.

Hi i purchased a brinkman 2545 5 burner grill already preassembled from walmart when i connected it to propane tank i tried to burn off and it would only heat to 275 degrees i read troubleshooting about...

Glad you saw the troubleshooting part concerning the regulator, but unless you turned the tank valve on VERY, VERY SLOWLY (slow motion, slow) after reconnecting the hose. That's the problem. The hose should remain disconnected for 5 minutes, before reconnecting. As the regulator needs time to reset itself. If that doesn't solve the problem, be sure the propane tank has enough gas to supply all the burners properly.

Hope this helps to get you up and grilling.

My 1100lp when burners are on low flame is to low and make squeeking noise and if a slight bit of wind will blow out flame. I cleaned burner tubes and replaced regulator with factory parts will heat up on...

turn off the LP Tank, disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes. Reconnect the hose and turn the tanl valve on very, very slowly, until it's fully open. Light each burner and turn it to high. Wait for the burners to heat up and turn them down gradually to low. If flame height on low has returned to normal, the problem is solved.

If that didn't solve the problem, the air shutters on each burner may need adjusting. Consult the installation instructions that came with the new burners for the proper setting or consult your Owners Manual.

If it's real real cold outside, it's not unusual for the burners set on low to have a problem. The only solution to that is let the grill preheat well, before turning the burners down. Also, grill with the hood closed on low, if it's a windy day.

Hope this helps you and gets you back to grilling again.

BOUGHT A BRINKMANN 2545 GRILL LAST NIGHT. WE HAVE IT ATTACHED TO GAS LINE COMING FROM HOUSE. GRILL WILL LIGHT BUT IT IS A LITTLR FLAME AND THE OTHER BURNERS WILL NOT LIGHT?

If you have a high pressure 2lb LP Gas System feeding your house, you will need and inline regulator for you grill.

If you have Natural Gas, the grill will have to be converted to Natural Gas. You can do this by changing burner orifices. You can purchase them from Brinkman. That is, if Brinkman approves the change to Natural Gas. Some gas grills aren't convertible.

How do I light the grill manually

Get a butane grill lighter. Open the hood of your grill. Remove the cooking grates and one by one turn the burner to low. Light the butane grill lighter prior to turning the burner on and as you turn the burner to low touch the flame of the lighter to the burner. Leave all burners on low, until you replace the cooking grates. Be very very careful, as you don't want gas to buildup before each burner is lit.

Then contact Brinkman for replacement ignitors.

When ever we get a full 20 lb. tank of lp gas, our 3 burner weber grill has a very low flame and it goes out frequently with low heat until it runs for a long time, then it runs normal.

Hello.
It sounds like your regulator is not quite right. Try a different one, or just replace yours. New regulators are inexpensive, and are available at Lowe's/Ace/Similar.
Best regards (and happy grillin'), --W/D--

Lots of yellow - then very low heat

Are the flames still yellow? If so the burner just needs to be adjusted which is very easy? Look at the ends of the tubes that come out of the burner and end right at the back of the gas controls. You should see a small piece of metal that will slide or spin to close a hole. You want to close or open it a little at a time while the grill is burning. Adjust this until you only see blue flame or blue flames with a little bit of a yellow tip.
