Van won't start after thunderstorm set off viper alarm system

I have a 1995 chevy van whivh came with a VIPER installed. I don't have any instructions. Recently a thunder storm set off the alarm and now my van won't start. The battery is good. The alarm system seems to be keeping me from starting the van. My remote has 4 buttons on it, but again I have no instructions. How do I disarm the alarm?

Not saying this is your solution. I would do the simple thing first. Disconnect the battery for 5 to 10 minutes and see if it allows the alarm to reset. If not call your local car alarm installer. Maybe Best Buy. These companies will more than likely help you out

I think I may have triggered an anti theft kill switch on my 03 expedition 5.4. It has a viper alarm, but I found a spare and activated the door code and now it won't start. Everything else comes on.

the problem isnt with remote starters, or with viper products. the problem is with under qualified persons attaining products they have no qualifications to operate.
TAKE THE CAR TO A DEALER(VIPER ALARMS) and they can fix the problem.
remote start was designed for people who want to start their car from afar and could actually comprehend that the multifunction remote was not only a keyfob to lock a door , or start a car, but it is also capable of remotely accessing certain programming features of the viper alarm, and whilst in some goofballs pocket........while he was sucking down goldslager was unintentionally reprogramming the viper alarm, and setting it into various modes of operation.
your lucky you didnt accidentally program it into carjack mode. lmfao
