When I had Cable I was able to set up Subtitles (for hearing impaired) on my Toshiba TV. Now I just have internet and netflix streaming for my Toshiba TV model 40S51U (May 2011) and I can't seem to access Subtitles. I saw it on the list when I was trying to set up but I didn't know how to highlight it. My remote has subtitles on it but can't access it that way either. Any help would be much appreciated.I don't have the instruction manuel for this TV

I don't think it can be done. Might make a good suggestion for the manufacturers to add to their future sets though.

SOURCE: dead remote = no dvd access?

Try a RCA universal remote with an input button. Try the codes for Orion , Sansui and RCA. Access the menu by holding down both volume buttons on the front of the set. There is no access to the jacks on the front of the set without a remote. If all else fails get a RF Modulator. This will allow you to watch your dvd by using the antenna jack on the back of the set.

How to get sub titles with a SONY RMT-TX1020 remote controls

The RMT-TX1020 is not a remote that I find online. There is a Sony RMT-TX102U which is included with several models, including the KDL-32R500C. First, what input are you using on the TV? If you are watching OTA (analog or digital), then if captions are available, you should be able to press the Subtitle (CC) button below the Channel Up/Down buttons on the remote. There are three choices for Caption Display: On/Off/On when sound muted. You can also adjust the type of captions. In most cases, you'll want to use CC1 for both Analog or Digital captions. Navigate through the menu using the select (the center + button) and the arrow keys as with all the other menus. If you are using a set-top box (cable, streaming, Blue-ray player), you probably need to enable the subtitles or captions at that device. It could be in a hardware settings menu and not a function controlled by their remote control.

My current TV setup includes IPTV (fiber-optic internet). To enable subtitles, I need to go to the Menu and then to Settings. Then I enter a password provided by the ISP and go to the Hardware > Audio > Captions menu. On a neighbor's satellite dish receiver that served two TVs, enabling captions on the second TV (for their hearing-impaired relative) required enable captions in the Hardware settings for the primary TV.

The subtitle button usage is described on page 30 on the manual for this TV. Sony has the manual on the product support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs/kdl-32r500c. The current link to the manual is https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4562/45622791M.pdf .

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the video source for your TV if you want further assistance.

How do I obtain NETFLIX without a computer however I have cable T.V. in Casper,Wyoming

you must have internet service...Netfilx is a digital streaming service.. You don;t need a computer but you have to have access to a digital internet network either via computer, pad, wifi cell phone with unlimited data or something of the sort. Cable does not support or offer netfix . You best bet is to get internet service in your home and a smart tv.

After setting up vizio streamer. I have singed up[ for netflixs and can which trilers but can not download moives what is the fix.

You cannot download movies to your Vizio streaming device. Do you download the moves you watch on TV ? Of course not. A TV allows you to watch movies, shows, etc.BROADCAST OVER THE AIRWAVES OR CABLE. Similarly, a streaming device allows you to watch movie, shows, etc. STREAMED/TRANSMITTED OVER THE INTERNET. So, if you can watch Netflix trailers on your Vizio, you can watch Netflix movies (but not download them). Select a Netflix movie, press Play on your remote and see what happens.

I have a Panasonic Tx58Ax 800e and I'm having problem streaming 4k on netflix. It worked fine at first then morning after I only get black screen and subtitles are only visible when streaming netflix 4k....

Did you check your network settings? did you check you still have enough bandwidth to stream the content? can you stream the same content to a smaller device like a tablet or computer?
Only if the stream is correct, check the TV, but there are so many other things that can go wrong, before the content is there.
