Cannot find the second memory board

I have a packard bell i power 5305 laptop and need to upgrade the memory, I have removed the bottom cover next to the battery and can only find 1 memory board. Where is the second one as all the websites state there are 2 and I need to increase the RAM to 1 gig.

Hi there. On laptops, the memory slots are normally on top of each other. Though the bottom one would stick out a bit more. When you look at your memory stick, you will see a bit of plastic on each side that holds the stick in place, just look for the other bits. You may need to take the current stick out to see properly.

Hope that helps.

Packard bell easy note tj65 will not power up

the short cable running from the power button to the main board has probably snapped where it passes over the RH hinge. remove the screen surround to gain access to the power on switch area and check. it would seem to be a common fault with the packard bell

How do i replace the bios battery on an easynote mv35-202 mit-sable-c laptop?More specifically, where is it?

The battery is going to be inside the case in most cases. You might have to remove the covers on the back of the laptop, there should be one for your system memory and probably one for your hard drive. But in most cases you will need to remove all the screws on the bottom of the laptop and carefully remove the cover, you will see the battery plugged into the board. It should be a batter with red and black wires.

Upgrading Memory on Packard Bell MIT GHA20

If you look along the top edge of the escape/function/del keys, there are several small plastic tabs that hold the keypad in place. Use a very small flat head screwdriver to push these back from one corner across to the other, gently lifting the keypad as you go. When you press back the last tab, the keypad should just pop out but take care as it's connected by a cable at the bottom edge of the keys. The RAM slots are located under a thin metal cover under the keypad. You'll need a very small philips head screwdriver to undo this. After installing RAM, replace the metal cover then pop the keypad back in, bottom edge first and just press down the top edge and the plastic tabs should snap back into place. Hope this helps!
