Hi,
Thin black line down the middle of screen shows these pixels (liquid crystals) are no more operative / drive so you observe it as line.

I'm afraid TV needs LCD Panel replacement and that is costly part, almost price of TV.

Please contact Toshiba Customer Service as they might cooperate with you in LCD Panel replacement. Toshiba CS number would be written on TV user manual.

Hit "add a comment" button for further query / info.
Thanks.

There is a black line straight down the middle of the picture. Is there an adjustment for that? The Tv is only a little over a year old.

Faint Vertical lines on Samsung LCD TV

Your correct, LCD's don't burn. This sounds like a defective main control module. I would take it in as soon as possible to have it looked at.

Verticle line down the middle of lcd monitor.

This is a common problem with LCD screens. It is pixel line damage and the screen is permanently damaged and is not repairable. It will probably get worse. The only answer is to replace it

Vertical lines in my laptop screen

My understanding is that you have 2 laptops with the same problem, if that is the case, you need to replace the lcd. When you have lines on lcd's, that is a sign of a bad lcd.

Vertical lines in my laptop screen

Hi,
what i recommend you to test is to press behind your monitor and see that the line goes off or not.If it does..that mean you have a loose connection,it can be fix.Incase no then you have problem with your LCD.Normally if its LCD problem then you fix this problem, all you have to do is change the LCD.
goodluck,takecare.

Faint Black Line down the middle of TV

Sounds like it could be pixel problems or board problems, this depend on the location. Most are mostly to the left or right, or going across the set to the upper or more to the lower side. For more info visit ctechnicians.com
