Flare repeating text messages

My LG flare sends the same text message every 3 mins or so automatically. I've tried reprogramming and taking the battery out, but nothing seems to work well. I had the problem last weekend and called Virgin Mobile. Even though I did everything they suggested nothing worked and they put in a trouble ticket for the phone...two days later I went to turn on my phone and the problem was resolved. However, the problem resurfaced a week later!

If you can figure out the solution to this problem please let me know. I have tried everything and this is not the first time it's happened. My phone once sent the same text message to the same recipient over 80 times. And don't count on Virgin Mobile and their joke "trouble tickets". You will NEVER hear from them again about it. And when you call back to get help, you will have to explain the ENTIRE thing over again because apparently their customer service reps don't take adequate notes when you call them. I have had so many problems with texting on this phone it's ridiculous. Most of the time I don't get text messages from people, and then sometimes I'll get them like 4 days later but never all of them. The texts that I send will sometimes take hours or days to reach the recipient... It is a joke and it's a well-known issue that Virgin has with the LG Flare. Seems a bit strange that they would still sell it? From what I've heard the only thing you can do is call them and demand that they send you a replacement phone-- but NOT another LG Flare! This is a well-known issue with Virgin and the LG Flare. Curious as to why they are still selling it. Virgin will drag this out with you for months, telling you to reset the phone and reprogram the phone and all this stuff that is a complete waste of time. The only thing you can do is call them, let them know you are fully aware that this is a known issue, and demand they send you a different model replacement phone! I've had so many problems with texting on this phone and Virgin being no help that I am now switching to a T-Mobile Flexpay plan! It's the same thing as Virgin's service in that there is no credit check, no deposit, and you pay at the beginning of your month of service instead of the end. The difference is it enables you to use all of T-Mobile's regular plans (instead of prepaid which are never as good), and not have to deal with crappy phones and horrible customer service from Virgin! You have to call or go into a store to sign up for Flexpay, but if you search flexpay rate plans on T-Mobile's site you can read all about them! Good luck!

i have had the same problem. they sent me the same phone and it had the same problem. now im waiting for a different model to be shipped. i hope it works or im done with these ********!

LG flare not recieveing text messages


I have called Virgin mobile SO many times for almost 9 months now because of text messaging issues. I don't know if it's the phone or the crappy service (the texts aren't the only problem, to this day I have never been able to access the internet on either of the phones I have had with them). I never receive text messages anymore... On a rare occasion I'll get like 5 text messages back to back that are from days before, and then nothing again. I can never tell if the messages that I receive are actually being sent, but I know a few times people have called me frantically because my phone has sent them the same message sometimes up to 80 TIMES. The customer service reps never have a CLUE what they're talking about and they barely speak english. It is so obvious that they are literally quoting directly from the same **** that is posted on their terrible website. I cannot even bring myself to call them anymore because I am so sick of explaining EVERYTHING over again, only to get the same incredibly insulting line "we have opened an investigation into this issue and are working on fixing it". REALLY? FOR 9 MONTHS??? I am SO angry with Virgin mobile's overall terrible service that I have contacted an attorney and am in the process of taking legal action. I suggest everyone else do the same or get new service because this company is merely sitting back and stealing our money while doing absolutely nothing to improve their service.

you better update your phone software at your nearest LG service Care center. Even though the problem persists then it your service providers problem or the senders service provider problem. So please conctact your service providers toll free no & lodge a complaint.

I recieve text messages late or not at all. The text messaging option isnt disabled and I have fully paid for my plan what's wrong with it?


Its probably not the phone, its your carrier network.
The network is what takes the call and what sends it to the phone,
your phone really has nothing to do with it.

LG Viewty sends long texts as MMS, why? and does it cost more?


Follow This:

Messaging>Messaging Settings>Text Message>Send Long Text As..>Multiple SMS

My lg flare will not find my bluetooth connection


Lol i've had this problem too trying to hookup my Jabra 2010 bluetooth headset. The answer is simple. Just turn on your bluetooth device and it should start automatic pairing. Than activate Bluetooth on your phone. Now Search. You will than see that your bluetooth has been found. The LG flare is really a weird phone because on most phones automatically detect the headset as in this case, you have to manually do it.

Messages > Settings > Text Message > "Send long text as"

If your text is longer than 2 pages, it'll try and send as MMS automatically if you haven't changed it when you had the phone. So if your phone isn't set up for MMS it'll refuse! lol.
