Thanks Pal - You nailed it !!!

Works fine after removing the Kingston Technology 1GB DDR2 (Value Ram). I haven't been able to determine the compatibilty tho.

I found the below on Kingston's website concerning the power supply and note that mine has the ATX standard on a Pentium 4 board........

"An ATX12V or SFX12V with the 2x2 connector is required for all Pentium® 4 processor based Intel® Desktop Boards. Power consumption requirements for high-end video cards, sound cards, peripherals, and the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor will exceed the typical 5A current capacity of standard ATX & SPX power supplies. The ATX12V and SFX12V power supply design guides recommend a minimum of 8A at 12Volts to properly power any Pentium 4 processor based Intel® Desktop Board. Standard ATX and SFX power supplies typically provide approximately 5A of current, which is not capable of reliably powering the Pentium 4 processor based Intel® Desktop Board. ".............

Think this is related? Again, THANKS A MILLION...../gene

Most likely your motherboard does not like the ram you installed.. remove one or both of the ram chips leaving the one that was in originally.. test with that chip .. if it works something is wrong with the new ram: it's either the wrong speed or voltage for your motherboard or possibly defective.. you can consult your motherboard manual or motherboard manufacturers site for a complete list of approved RAM.
Keep in mind, most gaming memory requires a higher voltage than generic memory and some motherboards just dont produce it..

it could be related... also there could be a voltage setting in the bios for adjusting the memory voltage.. but first find out what voltage the new ram requires.

Always a pleasure to helps out..

What if the speed LEDs on the VR2/VSI begin to flash?

  • Determine if the battery charger is connected to the power base. When the battery charger is connected to the power base, a charger inhibit feature keeps the power chair from driving. This is indicated by the VR2/VSI speed
    LED(s) flashing.
  • Determine if the charger harness fuse has blown. A blown charger fuse can cause the charger inhibit to
  • Determine if all controller connections are plugged into the power base properly. If the 3-pin charger

Compaq ProLiant DL380 G2 boot error. Front panel led "Internal health" initially green, then goes red with 2 second beep alternating with 2 second off. All ram leds yellow - only two populated. ...

You can get all of the documentation here

Also, Judging that the LEDs are not corresponding with the servers actual status (processor LED), This server may have been taken apart and the wires to the status leds were incorrectly reconnected. I would look at the documentation for the motherboard and compare to the wiring diagram. The RAM May be an issue. Depends on whether the machine makes it past POST (Power On Self Test). If it does, The ram is fine. If not, I would inspect that beep code further. It probably has something to do with the memory. If the memory is malfunctioning, you will get no response from the machine other than beep codes and status leds. According to the documentation, the closest match for your beep code means this:

207-Memory Configuration Warning -
DIMM In Socket X does not have Primary Width of 4 and only supports standard ECC.
Advanced ECC does not function when mixing DIMMs with Primary Widths of x4 and x8.
Audible Beeps: 1 long, 1 short, or none
Possible Cause: Installed DIMMs have a primary width of x8.
Action: Install DIMMs that have a primary width of x4 if Advanced ECC memory support is required.

I hope this helps. Thank you for choosing

Dell dimension 3000 showing the following LEDS on the back a-green, b-yellow, c-yellow, d-yellow, won't boot up.

if the Dell logo does not appear at all when you start the computer, unplug its power cord, press its power button for say 10 seconds to clear any power left to it. Next, try to disconnect all external devices connected to it, then remove the power and ide/sata cables to your hard drive and/or CD/DVD drives, remove all the memory and just reconnect 1 confimed working memory to the first memor slot. Remove any other cards like video card, or network cards, then remove and reconnect the power connection from the power supply to the motherboard. Reconnect the power cable and attempt to turn it on. If the back panel light code changes, try to re-connect the devices starting from the memory, then expansion cards and the storage devices one by one. After connecting each card or device, test the system to see which device may be at fault. If nothing changes, could be your power supply or mainboard and you may need to get the replacement for them. HOpe this lead you to the right direction in getting this solved. feel free to rate how helpful this information is. Thanks

Acer One 1542 series.Power on but not boot.

since you reseated the memory, the last two things I would do is remove the hard drive and dvd drive.

If you remove those and you can't get video then the motherboard is bad.
