Question about Go Ped Toys
I just picked up this GoPed at a neighbors Garage Sale. He sold it because he could not get it to start. I changed the spark plug, put new fuel/oil, took the carburator off, changed the priming bulb, and cleaned it.
The GoPed started and I adjusted the carburator at max throtle. When my son tries to take off on it, the engine stalls. I took a close look at the carburator when you squeeze the new priming bulb and can not see any gas being pumped into the carburator. When take off the fuel return hose and block the fitting with my finger the gas can be seen being dispursed in the carburator. The gas does not look like it is coming out of the orifice, but sideways out of the plastic tube inside the carburator. Do I need a new carburator, or am I just very bad at tunning the carb?

If the bulb is good and it still won't prime, then you have either one more tube (there are usually 3) to replace, OR, the gas pickup in the tank has a plugged filter or a plugged line. I'd check it first.

I ran into the same problem and found the line to the tank was clogged, take your line loose and see if your fuel flows freely if not blow some air from a compressor back up the line and into the tank. Hope this helpls

I have also changed my plugs, points, cleaned carb, but I can not get the tractor to fire at the cylinders. I have spark but will not crank. What do I need to do?

The GSR Sport DOES have a clutch and the ability to idle, so if your scooter is in fact a Go-ped GSR Sport, like your title says, then you have a different issue.
The Go-ped Sport is a direct drive unit, but the GSR Sport has a Centrifugal clutch, that allows the scooter to idle at a stop.
If the scooter is sputtering, then you probably have a fuel, or spark issue.
The easiest things to troubleshoot are the gas mixture, the carb settings, and the spark plug. The fact that the scooter runs when idling means that the air/fuel mixture is probably incorrect, causing the scooter to run too Rich/Lean and not produce the power at bottom end to propel weight. Try www.gopednation.com and you will find your solution there. Carbs can be tricky to tune, so ask someone on www.gopednation.com how to do it, and you should get a response quickly. :)
