No pic No sound

Turned on my set that had been working fine earlier and there is no picture or sound. Slight Electrical odor when turned on. Also a "Ticking sound about twice a second. LED DP37 blinks in unison with the ticking sound. What broke?? Please Help.

I have a phillips Magnavox 7-8 years old that went off in the middle of my sons game he said he smelled smike and heard a pop

When I try to turn it on there is no pix but the on switch tries to light up ??????

- The above tv is a projection 48 inch they tell me it will cost alot to fix, is there any place to get parts for these? So I can do it myself?

I would call PTS at 18008447871 and find out how much a new deflection board cost, because by the time you find out what is wrong and start replacing things you will be out more money. Not including the smell that means probably the flyback was burning or arching.

- I have found if you change first C603 this may help, if not then Transformer T701 is bad. Try this if you are not ready to replace board.
