Re: t.v wont switch on
5 months old, even thou you don't have rec. I would go back to where I bought and complain, because most sets have at least 1yr. warranty, so I would atleast say that they verify that the set is theres and was sold at this time and replace or repair. If you let them know that you don't want the money back just want one that is working usually they have to help. If not call the Better Business B.

Most likelly you have had a power surge through your house and it blew the fuse inside the tv. If you take the back panel off the fuse will be by the power cord becarefull and pop out the old fuse if its burnt or the metal wire is missing on the inside then you just need to replace the fuse with the same amps and voltage as the old fuse. If you read the motherboard where the fuse goes it will tell you what type of fuse it calls for.And when tvs work fine one dau and then the next wont even make a sound when hitting the power button 9 out of 10 times the fuse is the issue. GOOD LUCK too you and HOPE this helps!!! Good day!!
Your TV is being overheated by the location it is placed. try moving it in an airy area and see if the problem still occurs. The turning on and off is a response to overheating sensors in the TV housing and if not rectified it could malfunction and may cause burnout, a possible risk of fire.
The TV is in protection mode because of a fault with moving it and then coming on briefly I would suspect that the fault is a dry joint ( a solder joint which has fractured) finding it can be time consuming but it is most likely to be around the caps in the line output stage which need resoldering.
My problem is solved!!! I called my neighborhood TV repair shop. The technician suggested I check the Internal Speaker Switch on the back of the TV. And sure enough, I had accidentally move the switch to the OFF position while carrying it from one room to the other. Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! my 13 year old JVC is as good as new!!!!!
i would honestly suggest if you still have the receipt return it back. dont forget your rating thanks.
This is a very common problem for RCA TV. I have one as well. or go to www.tv.rca.com/ there are free manual there
If it works at 3 different houses, but not yours, then it might be the electrical wiring at your house. Try a different outlet in a different room. Make sure your electrical wiring is not too old, and needs to be updated. Check your circuit breaker panel, does it need to be updated?
Is it that the remote dosent work?? Does it switch the tx on and off or does the volume change from the remote. NO?? then your remote is broken . Take out the batterys and replace them and see if that helps. Remote works?? Ok if the remote does work but wont let you into function then your gonna have to contact JVC at email@example.com Or look in your owners manual for a local branch as i see your from The UK. Good Luck and Im sorry i cant be of more assistance.
