The program won't work. I can't scan nor print. I lost the original CD so I can't reinstall it. When I clic on 'solution center' I just get a glue rectangle within the frame. My comp used to have a virus and a friend cleaned. This problem appeared after that.

Go in contact with manufacturer and ask them what to do or ask them to send u another disc and reinstall program after u gone to add/remove programs

Try this utility and it should give you detailed information about whats missing when you try using scan option from HP Solution Center.

Download this utility and run the program.

If it gives any Red X on Drivers, you might have to uninstall the software and reinstall.

KODAK ESP 3200 SERIES WILL NOT SCAN


I had the same problems; missing Icon and 100-2105.
This solution on the Kodak web site solved my problem.

From your computer desktop, select Start > Run.
Type %windir%, then click OK.
Double-click the twain_32 folder.
Right-click the kodak folder, then select Delete.
Insert the KODAK All-in-One Printer Software CD into the CD drive, then go to D: > printer > scanner.
NOTE: The CD is indicated by D: above. The CD drive may be a different letter on your computer.
Double-click aioscannr.msi, then follow the instructions to remove it.
Go to D: > printer > scanner, then double-click aioscannr.msi, and follow the instructions to install the file.
Start Home Center Software.
Select Scan Documents and Pictures.
Scan a document.
If the error continues using a Wi-Fi connection, make sure you select the correct printer in Home Center Software.
If the error continues using a USB connection, see the following section to reinstall the printer.

Can not get the OCR to work


Try to reinstall the OCR scan software by inserting the Lexmark installation disc that came with your printer into the computer hard drive. If you have a firewall enabled, make sure to allow all Lexmark scan and print processes in the program rules or permission.
If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center to request one for free.

  • Okay, so I go to the Lexmark web site. This is the page where you download the files you need. (Either because you've lost the original CD, or because you want a more up-to-date version.)
  • Choose inkjet printers
  • Choose Z705
  • Choose the operating system you have (such as Windows XP)
  • Click on the file and choose Download and Run
  • The program will unpack into a folder on your hard disk, then run to install the printer.

Machine suddenly stopped scanning


Open My Computer and see if there is a scanner device at the end of the list. If there is, try to scan using Windows scanner and camera wizard. (right click on it, Get picture using Scanner wizard)

Remove the drivers from Control Panel, Add remove programs. Disconnect the printer. Restart the computer. Reinstall the drivers from the original CD that came with the printer. When the installation program ask you to connect the printer, do so. If you have lost your CD, try to download the "Full installation package" from the site of the manufacturer.

You should download the same software from the official site of that third party.
For example if it is provided by Microsoft, find the compatible version of that software for Vista.

I recently got a new Dell computer and kept my Dell AIO 922 printer, but now the icon is lost, I cannot scan. However, I can print, but that is about it.


Do you still have the Dell AIO 922 Drivers and Utilities CD? If so, you can reinstall it on your new Dell PC with the Drivers and Utilities CD. Although you are able to see this printer in your list, the other components are missing such as the scan and fax options. If you have already reinstalled it using the CD, you should see the All In One Center under the Start Menu/ All Programs/Dell Printers/Dell AIO Printer 922 and the All In One Center should be showing there. You can right click on the All in One Center and select "send to" and choose desktop to create a shortcut or icon on your desktop. Your options for scanning and faxing should be showing here. Hope that helps!

Won't scan. Copies and prints. But the scan button does nothing.


Did you try scanning from your pc? I never use the printer scan button. Most scan buttons won't work without the "print center" program open as the scan always goes to the pc. I mostly use the windows scan program in the control panel. Try this.
