Question about Televison & Video
Hello We just set up our tv (Hitachi 55HDX99) and hooked it up to our speaker system/DVD player (Sony DAV-HDX500 Home Theatre System) & PlayStation III. While watching tv speakers on the Hitachi work fine but they are not supporting our Sony speakers. Oddly enough the Sony speakers work when we play a PlayStation game on the tv and when we watch a DVD. How can we get our Sony speakers to kick in when we are watching tv? It is strange that the speakers only play for the game system and dvd player. Hope this is enough info for you to help diagnose. Thanks for your time!!!
Connect RCA Red-White audio cable to INPUT of DAV-HDX500 and hook it to TV AUDIO OUT pins at back of TV.
Now select INPUT in DAV-HDX500 to get TV sound in Sony system speakers.
