SOURCE: Devilbis Excell pressure washer with Honda engine

If the pressure unloader is not working correctly and/or the nozzle is partially clogged with debris, the engine will be overtasked. Try lowering the pressure by turning the pressure knob to lowest setting and test. If the engine continues to run, gradually increase the pressure. Try using the washer set to about 75% of rated capacity and use max pressure for stubborn stains. Using any machine at max will shorten the life of components. If lowering pressure does not help, then unloader is faulty or stuck. Try storing the unit with oil in the pump. Remove both hoses and infuse oil into water inlet intill all the water is displaced (let set for day or two). Good luck

I need to know where to put detergent in the pressure washer I have no model number

These units come with a detergent bottle that attaches to the spray wand. The manual describes what detergents to use and the attachment reduces the pressure and siphons the right amount of detergent from the container. It is not a good idea to try to run detergent through the pump.
Here is a link to the operating manual for a similar pressure washer.

Hi, having problems with my Dyson DC27. It's worked very well for the last few years but recently i can't get the handle to stay attached to the base after using the wand causing the handle to

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm surprised to hear that your wand isn't staying attached in use - it's engineered to lock securely to the machine when you replace it after use.

Like all of our upright and cylinder vacuums, DC27 has a 5-year guarantee, so we should be able to help - I'd encourage you to get in touch with us directly so we can confirm if we're able to replace the wand under the terms of the guarantee.

You can reach our freephone customer Helpline on 0800 298 0288 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US). Please have your machine to hand when you call so our experts will take you through a few quick checks to work out what's causing the issue.

We'll look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Jack

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC17. The dusting tools supplied with the cleaner attach either to the end of the wand, for high- and low-reach cleaning, or directly to the hose cuff for tighter spaces. They simply use a friction fitting to attach securely onto the end of the wand, or into the hose cuff, depending on your requirements.

You need to hold the center spindle with a pair of pliers and turn it while lifting up. This engages the spindle into the threads of the spray arm. A couple of turns will tighten it up.

Shuts off when high pressure wand is attached

Hi Brian. Welcome to FixYa I am Kelly. This sounds as if the bypass / unloader valve is stuck in place and the pump id dead heading causing the unit to shut off. (There is most likely some corrosion in the unloader / bypassy valve assy / housing. What you can try is pouring at least 3 oz of oil into the water inlet assy and briefly.... like VERY briefly switch the unit on then back off. Then let it sit over night. The next day connect everything for normal use then turn the unit on again briefly. Use a bucket to PURGE the oil that you put through the system by squeezing the wand Power SW Off until the oil purges. Then switch the unit on and rapidly trip the trigger at 0.5 sec intervals or less. If it trips off wait 5 mins and try it again. Do the rapidly tripping the trigger on the wand routine for about 20 seconds. Your forcing the bypass unloader valve to cycle trying to clear out any debris / corrosion.
This works often and well. There are exceptions. Hopefully it will work for you.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Kelly

Cant change the high pressure hose on a Karcher

On the Kärcher, you have a bayonet mount at the base of the tip end of the pistol grip. This is where you attach different types of nozzles and gadgets after having removed the existing sprayer tube. Just push in and turn a quarter of a turn, then you pull it off the pistol grip. The hose is possible to remove from the machine as well, an ordinary threaded mount but since you need the pistol grip to regulate on/off this is probably not what you want to do. If the telescopic wand is made by Kärcher it should be very easy to snap it into place just like when you removed the sprayer tube/nozzle. If the attachment was made to fit Alto washers there is an inexpensive adapter that works very well. Good luck!
