Question about Science & Laboratory

1 Answer

My handheld digital microscope apparently was not installed properly, because I am not able to take snapshots with it. I have no way to delete it from my computer and start over. there is a button that says to go back and make a correction, but it does not light up to use. My interest is only in making snapshots, not videos.

We need to establish first if you have the software for that microscope... what brand and model it is... and what operating system you use.

Error Message 103

I think it maybe because you haven't installed the "Driver" either at all, or properly. Uninstall any/all software. Reboot, DO NOT plug in unit. now, re-install the Software and Driver. Reboot, NOW plug in the unit, it should now be detected, and work.
You don't say what OS you are using? If Vista or Win 7, try installing as Administrator and also set Compatibility Mode for XP SP2 and run the main .exe as Administrator too.

Problem with Leica microscope

if you check the operation for spliting to a photo tube. PG 49 you can see the procedure for using a camera (there is a control pin on the side of the scope (shown on pg 49) which you have to operate to switch to the camera output... you should then be able to take your photos :) http://www.vashaw.com/assets/84/84original.pdf

Thourough reassembly info

This is the site I use before using the pay for sites. http://www.hpcnec.com This is the link for your device. http://www.hpcnec.com/cgi-bin/simpleforum.cgi?fid=12&topic_id=1143848182 As per usual they always show you the removal or dismantle procedure and then advise you that installation is a reversal of the removal procedure. Yes, this includes the pay for Doc's as well, so all they really show you in detail is how to dismantle your device properly. Effective reassembly will be based on how much notice you took during dismantle, if you have a synaptic memory, it'll all go sweet. I use a digital camera too take a snapshot of everything assembled and again after you remove each peice of the device.
