Wont play playstation 2 games

-   need help pls...my playstation doesnt show picture at all,just a blue screen...i already check,but still same...the power led turn to green but still no picture some 1 pls help-   firena86

-   I just played games the other day, now when I put a game in it goes to the browser/configure screen, what shoud I do to fix this problem?-   rkkunstman

-   My playstation 2 is the slim black type.. it sits horizontal not vertical. It just played a sims game last night now today it is not working. Each time I turn it on it only goes to the configure and browse default and it does not spin the disk or even notice there is a game in there! I have no idea what to do.

I unplugged it for hours then replugged.
I checked all the wiring.
I tried to see if the cd stopper was stuck
I tried to play the disk open, and closed, and upsidedown
I tried to get it to work sideways, which others said worked.
Nothing has worked.
I was just about to buy sims 2 castaway too!
I don't play often either, so over use is no way the prob.

I can't afford another one.
What now? I don't get it.

-   i have a dynasty warriors 5 game and it works perfectly but i also have dynasty warriors 5 xtreme legends and that works until it gets to the loading part, is there something wrong with the disc ir is it my PS????, plz can anyone help me-   sebbomate
