Question about Toshiba Tecra 8200 Notebook
Try also- when you power-on, hold down the ESC key. You SHOULD then get a message 'press F1...'. Then press F1 and it will take you into the SETUP menu. Under Battery... you can set the screen brightness while running on the battery. At least the ESC,F1 works on my machine.

Yes brightness could be increse go the manual of toshiba...actually ON Battry Mode brightness will decrease because for better consuption of battery for long hour. you can increse brightness in it... chk go to the control panel and then go to battery and power option...then change the setting acoordingly...
