Acer 5000 no keyboard and mouse uploading xp home

You might have a faulty keyboard or a key may be continuously pressed without you seeing it physically. When you get to that screen again, try running your hand across all the keys a few times and see what happens. If not, just go on ebay and find a cheap one and replace it.

My sony pcg7133l says not enough memory to start windows go to config sys and dump files then turns off how do i get there?

Windows Vista is a huge resource hog, if you have windows XP load in DVD tray, power up, wait for sony logo, press F12 or assigned number on lower right on logo, use arrows on the keyboard to toggle up or down, high light CD/DVD driver and press enter, this will automatically load windows XP and follow prompt.

Hi everyone,Ive got a dell cpx 650Mhz s600gt.os is window problem is the screen did not display anything after booting,it comes black.but the system is opperating,no welcome screen.plese help and im...

Wow what an oldie!
Unfortunately XP is no longer supported. This machine was designed for Win98 and 98SE. I expect there is a display driver missing, along with a few more perhaps.
Try loading 98SE and if it is OK, XP is your issue.

When i open my vaio pcg-frv37 laptop it says NTDLR is missing. please tell me what it means i cant open my laptop.

  1. Insert the Windows XP installation CD into your computers CD-ROM drive and restart.
  2. You will be prompted to “Press any key to boot from CD…”. Press a key.
  3. Once loaded, the Windows XP setup menu will give you several options. Press the “R” key to repair Windows.
  4. When prompted, selected your Windows installation. In most cases this is “1′. Press enter.
  5. You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password. If you don’t have a password set, just press enter.
  6. Type the following commands, pressing enter after each line. Replace “e:\” with the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
    copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
    copy e:\i386\ c:\
    bootcfg /rebuild
  7. After entering that last line and pressing enter, you will be walked through the process of rebuilding the boot file. Most of the prompts should be self explanatory, but here are a few tips:
    • The first prompt should ask you to confirm the operating system that was automatically detected. Make sure the detected OS is the operating system you have installed and then type “y” and press enter.
    • You will also be prompted for a “load identifier”. This is the user friendly name that is displayed when selecting advanced startup options. You can type anything you want here, but it is best to type the full name of the operating system (such as “Windows XP Home Edition).
  8. Eject the CD from your computer. Type “exit” and press enter. Your computer will restart, and this time it should load without displaying an error.

Computer freezes on boot up

make sure the mouse and keyboard are in right connections...if you look closely youll see icons next to ports.
try without mouse at first start up ,load windows and use key with windows logo on it to access start and scroll to shutdown tab and restart...plug in the mouse before restart.
if logo tab isnt assigned press ctrl + esc to access start menu.

Keyboard + toucpad freezes

Might seem ovious but you may want to try Acer support and look for a new Driver.. Also check under Control Panel...Mouse options... and also check device profiles to make sure windows isn't loading a "docked profile which may disable touchpad and laptop keybaord use.
