Question about Toshiba Satellite 1805-S253 Notebook
Model U205-S5002. Original power adaptor had wires showing at connector end. Removed. Powered down. Purchased AC adaptor that was told was compatible. Fits ok, but instead of blue solid AC/power light it flashes amber - and get no power. Pretty sure battery is totally discharged, but same results with or without battery inserted. Question is do the volts and amps output have to match exactly? Original adaptor 15V x 5A. This adaptor 19V and 4.74A. One place told me doesn't matter and another told me watts are what matters. (I no longer have original adaptor - gave to store to dispose of properly when I bought new one.)
