Question about Panasonic KX-MB781 All-In-One Laser Printer
1. My display said I was going ot need to replace my drum and then it stopped and the display said to replace it.
2. I then removed the old drum and reinserted the old drum back and nothing changed.
3. I then replaced the od drum with the new drum and everything worked fine.
4. Just for kicks, I then replaced the old drum and the old drum now works fine.
5. I conclude that the new drum reset the machine's counter.
IS THERE A WAY TO MANUALLY RESET THE COUNTER?
There is a little special (white) gear on the outer left side of the drumkit - a little bit below where the toner sits. That gear joins with toner mixing assy - and you can rotate it in counterclockwise all the way back. This should reset the drum counter - worked for me - I hope it also does the trick for you ;-)

While waiting for the new drum to arrive from Amazon, I need to print an urgent document. Once I followed HobbesVT's suggestion and turned the white gear counterclock-wise, the printer print a beautiful page and no more "replace the drum" error message. Not sure how long will this last, but definitely worked in a bind.
