Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

"Cartridge Error: Cart. on left is not intended for this printer"

HP Officejet 5610 will not print from HP74 color cartridge. Printer screen reads: "Cartridge Error: Cartridge on left is not intended for this printer."
It will not print anything when the HP74 cartridge is in place. When we take it out it prints from the black cartr. just fine.
We already tried replacing the cartridges... cleaning it with the air thingy... and running those cleaning sheets through it.

Now what do I do? Is it hopeless?? Printer is about 1.5 years old....do I need to get a new one to print in color?

Printer HP Office Jet 4315 All in One says "Printer Cartridge on the right side is not intended for printer" and you take it out and put a new one in and it does the same thing.

I looked in the user guide and still couldn't find a solution.

Don't know what the solution is at this point. Help anyone?

Cartridge error

Hi,

First step is to remove both the cartridges
Clean the golden contacts ( electrical contacts ) with a lint free cloth
also if possible clean the contacts within the cartridge slot ( with a cue tip or ear bud )
try installing again. and it should go through and print alignment sheet.

If it does not, follow the steps below

Install the cartridges one by one. Check the message that comes on the printer screen like ( cartridge on the right or cartridge on the left is damaged or not intended )

message me back with the Expiry date mentioned on the cartridges. Also, i would like to know if these are genuine HP cartridge or Refilled one.

Regards,
Ron

It is reading Print cartridge problem(tri-color)

if it is not yet empty try to remove and reconnect the cartridge, if same error, try printing without the tricolor cartridge. if that works, you need a new tricolor

Printer says-

Remove the Cartridge.
Clean the Electrical ( golden ) contacts using lint free cloth.
Clean the Contacts inside the Cartridge slot.
Put then back in the Printer and follow the instructions on the Printer Screen.
If this does not resolve.. Contact HP Support if you are using Genuine HP Cartridge for more Help.

Hp officejet 5610 All-in-one having 'cartridge error', need help to solve it. thank you.

Remove both cartridges and clean the electrical contacts with a dry cloth. Clean the contacts in the carriage, inside the product too. Put the cartridges back in.
If that doesn't work, remove the black cartridge from the printer and try to print something. If the color one prints, you need to change the black cartridge. If the color one won't print, and the black does, then you need to change the color cartridge.

Cannot reset print cartridge.

Hello.

This might not be the solution but a good tip.

If there is a contact surface on the cartridge make sure
there is no dirt or fingerprints on the contact surfaces.

Sometimes the simplest thing could be the answer.

Good Luck.
