With AOMEI Partition Assistant Server Edition, you can repartition a disk without reboot system. All the operations can be easily, and all the data will be protected.

I like Acronis Disc Director for extending partitions. It depends on what drive are you repartitioning. You can use Disk Management if you're not partitioning system partition. In Vista you have an option to extend partition with a free space from other partitions or from unpartitioned space without loosing your data.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You have to go into computer management then disk management then resize your D drive first then reboot go back into disk management and resize your C drive. If youre not sure how to get into disk management just type it in your run box. Cheers from Scott and plz vote

I am using lenovo y410 when i repartition c drive from there onwards i can't use onekey recovery option.so,any one please tell me how i can use this option.....................

When you repartitioned you basically erased the onekey services as they were in a seperate partition on the c drive. You would need a system restore disc in order to reinstall the service on your computer. Sorry.

How can I merge two Hard Drive partitions together?

Nearly any partitioning software, even the built-in found on an XP install disk can repartition your drive. Partition magic is easier to work with. You can also find partitioning utilities at most hard drive manufacturer's websites. Or check out some of the shareware utilities here.

There is always a risk of losing ALL data on the drive when you repartition. It is likely the two recovery partitions are quite small. If the data on the drive is important it may be wise to leave it as is and simply buy an additional drive.

Can I Repartition WD 500GB My Book Firewire Drive w/DATA ON IT?

Greetings.

You will need to have a third party software to achieve this. I recommend norton partition magic. I have been using it in the same scenario as yours and works. they now support firewire. Easy to use and gets the job done.

Hope that helps.

Splitting a 80 gig hdd into 2 sections

Hello douglasc, You will have to repartition your hard drive. I would suggest the use of an application called partition magic. It will allow you to partition your hard drive even though the OS is present on the system. It does this by first defragmenting your hard drive and the putting the unused sectors together and the used sectors together this way it makes the division of the sections easier. Now once the hard drive is defragmented it allows you to section the drive into different logical hard drives. Follow the instructions from the documentation and you will have a successful repartitioning. Thank you, Shuttle83
