Question about Sanyo AVM-3659S 36" TV

Ticking noise how come whenever i have my tv turned off it makes a soft ticking noise, but when i turn it back on the ticking stops?

Re: ticking noise

If it is in stand by mode it may have soft ticking noise due to magnetic induction. if you put off the switch it may go. please let me know.

Hi, Sorry this is not a fix but i wanted to say that i have the same problem on my tv which is the same model as yours.
At start tv would show faint parallel diagonal lines until some day it stopped working. Everytime i try to turn it on it doesnt! and makes a ticking sound from the back of the tv. Did you fix yours btw?

Making Loud noises

Got the same problem with my second TX-S3082WH Slimfit...the first had the same was deemed unrepairable and I was advised to return it to Circuit a year and five months later Samsung support has been less than helpful as I am 5 months out of warranty...don't know what I'm going to do...any advice would be appreciated

High Pitched noise returns after new parts installed.

Use first quality OEM or equiv. transistor, RCA 237470 is
least expensive...............T.

High Pitched Ticking Noise

Horizontal output transistor is shorted,caused by bad flyback
transformer.If you want to pursue the repair,please give the
service number off back......I will get part # s........T.

TV won't turn on, makes high-pitched clicking noise

Its a real good chance that the HOT (horizontal output tranistor) transistor is shorted if so the flyback trasformer may be bad also. the transformer will make a tick tick sound if it is trying to start.
